OOTB. Backtest if you want, but you are wasting your time. |

Hi Ron, No need to change OB/OS... the reasoning is we want to make sure that price is OB/OS which means it must go over the 80/20 level to confirm this...I want to make sure that when I take a trade (as best I can) that price has definitely started to retrace, so by having the trade trigger a bit outside ob/os will hopefully ensure we won't get whiplashed by a trade where the stoch's just peek back over the ob/os level and then resume their trend. Of course you are welcome to test however you like, but that's just my thinking on it for now |

Hmmm, I think not (or else have a user input to turn on/off).... main reason is that even once price goes up into overbought territory it can technically stay there for some time and price can still continue upwards before turning & retracing, so it would be nice if we're on a run to stay with it at that point. I think closing the trade when the stoch lines cross would generally occur at some point once price has gone overbought anyway??? |

One thing I experimented with in my earlier TS testing was an adapting trigger level. I tried "trigger when it gets past OB/OS, AND it pulls back X from its max/min." So you're using a trigger of 5, where it has to get past 80 and then come back to 75. But it might go all the way up to 98, and 75 is a long way down from there -- you will have missed a lot of the move. So with a trigger of 5, you'd enter if it got up to 98 and then dropped back to 93. It gets you into the move a lot earlier. It seemed to work well but I haven't re-tested it recently. Probably should let me bring my TS system up to date and try it, before you ask Steve to code it so you can forward-test it. I'll add it to my ever-expanding "to-do" list... |

Hi, My Multi Stoch trader has just taken 2 trades, GBPCAD(Option 1, Short) and USDCAD(Option 2, Short). Has Gday, taken any of these trades for any of you guys? I'm using Alpari(UK). As soon as I get it right I'll upload it. Thanks Andy |

I am not a mind reader. Do you think you should have had some trades? Maybe you think you should. Maybe you think you should not. I do no know. |

My crim just opened a new candle and Gday took the same trades. Live, I would have the balance filters in place and so would not have sold xxxCAD twice. Wonderful thingies demo accounts; the only thingies the crims get right so expect them to be withdrawn any day now. |

I forgot to say, that was on demo. Live, I have shut down. Ok, so these days NFP is a busted flush, but it might awake one day, and I do not want to be on the wrong end of it if it does. For sure, the markets will doze off for hours and hours and hours. |
