Hm must agree with you, my trading has gone to the dogs. Just slowly bit by bit loosing my profits when the jpy craziness started. It is like whenever I cut my looses soon, price reverses, whenever I am determined to hold as long as possible price runs right through my SL. The wins are alwais smaller and looses bigger. The whole consistency just disappeared. It is probably time to go back to the demo again. I think grimweasel is an expert on Daily. Speaking of him I didn`t see him here for a while. |

Porcupine (big spikes in both sides) forming around 240. Big tension. Big move is coming. No way to know it would be up or down. I should stay out. Porcupines are well known as account killers. |

Could also be seen as a triangle rather than a trend. Don't like the look of the CSS Info either, both currencies similar in strength meaning range or choppy, which is what we've got. I'd stay out for the moment, till we get a break either way. |

Baluda’s GlobalMarketTrend indi has been around for months now, but it was only a few days ago that I started using it. Dumb ole me!! As if the benefits of the Info Page CSS is not enough, this indi holds invaluable info, if we will just take a second look at it. The IgnoreFuture option is set to False by default, but I think it should be set to True as it is for the other Info Page CSS squiggles. It appears to give a more meaningful tracing in this mode. Attached is what my 10.4 Info Page looks like. I added 2 levels (1.2 and 2.5) to the indi just based on the market behaviour of the last 3 weeks or so! An upward (D1) tracing indicates a strengthening trend and this will coincide with a fanning out of the D1 CSS. A downward tracing indicates a retracing market and will coincide with a converging of the CSS lines. It would seem that a level of higher than 2.5 is indicative of a trending market in which 10.4 trades will do very well. You can set your TPs at WS1 (for sells) or WR1 (for buys) and expect them to be hit. You must perish any thoughts of CT trades at this time or else they must be selected and managed with great care, and should such a trade be in a losing position, a hedge had better be used in good time (if not a stop). If GlobalMarketTrend level is at about or less than 1.2, the market as a whole is not particularly strong in any direction and is definitely not trending. Price will hug the 240; 10.4 trades in these circumstances will be hard-pressed to hit their usual TPs, and stops will be taken out more often and more easily. CT trades, on the other hand, will do quite well, albeit with moderate TPs. Also, there should be no need for hedging trades at this time because any losing trade will soon turn around for BE if not for profit. The region between 1.2 and 2.5 is a kind of discretionary transition zone. There have been a few moans lately about the way the market has been. Little wonder if you look at your GlobalMarketTrend levels. These 1.2 and 2.5 levels are just arbitrary levels based on the last 3 weeks or so. Each one will want to look more closely over a longer time frame and re-calibrate it for themselves as found necessary. Better still, it would be great if Baluda or Bob could chime in to correct anything that might be going astray in all of this. I don’t believe we fully appreciate the immense value we have in these indis, particularly these Info Page ones. For me, a yawning void will be left behind without them that I won’t know how to cope with. I begin to understand Bob’s fears of them ever becoming unusable as a result of some schemes by Metaquotes or any Broker. Baluda deserves an award for these indis. A million thanks to him again. |

I agree, but what I'm saying is that I found a more consistent way of trading than anyone I ever followed on Zulutrade or EA I ever used, thanks to Bob and the guys on this forum. If you are ranked amongst the top 10 traders out of tens of thousands on Zulutrade then followers expect sensible trading. I have a lot to learn and there's always room for improvement but my manual account vs my Zulu account tells me that I'm better off on my own having a go, than trusting my money to someone else. |

Thanks Zentauro67 and Pips400 for sharing your insights. I m learning a lot from it. My stop survived yesterday's up move. I have been following fibonacci based method of identifying trend and entry signals on Daily time frame and see a lot of value in 10.4 system. Attaching a chart which explains the reasons for my short bias. Thanks Kundan |
