That sounds like an interesting and great idea for the indi that shows confluence of factors without cluttering the chart... then a signal and candle formation on chart and.. bingo!

Thanks kindly for explaining. Somewhere I think I read that you only look for a move at the beginning of a session. Is that correct.. and for any time frame.. H4,1 or 30min? Does that include the beginning of Asia or just London and NY? Being in Australia I'd like to find some in our day time!! |

Some people use volatility indis I dont . volatility is the first 2-4 hours of a trading session. So my TP will be 2+ hours into the JPY session, 2-4 into the euro session or up to an hour before the USA session and then 2-3 hours into the USA session. During those times is when price is going to move. When the move is done I will take my profit and look for the retrace and enter again next day or possibly next session or two. If I want to enter a second time I will go to a lower TF and reenter there. If CSS goes outside the 20/-20 I will then look to enter two positions like I did on the gbp/usd yesterday. If both are outside I can look for 3 entrance points. My favorite entrance points are xxx.000 or xxx.050 or Daily pivot or an obvious S/R area. I am looking at a new indi which plots the d,w, pivots, open, and R/S on a bar to the side of the screen, kind of like the dummy lights with lines.This way you can see them all but they arent all over your chart. When you see them all in the same area you will see an area of congestion and play the bounce or the breakout. I havent watched it enough yet but I am thinking TOP or BOTTOM of TMA with daily, weekly, monthly, S/R congestion sure would be a good area to play a bounce back down/up into the TMA. |

I posted this on page 1 post 1 JUST A NOTE ON THE STO INDI: The Sto is not based on the opens but the STO as it relates to the last 2 candles. Which I guess probably on a daily chart may work out that way that it is similar to the open. It is not intended to be. I dont know the Math behind a STO all I know is that it is the about the quickest to respond to price movement. If you just traded the STO alone it always left too early. I used that feature to forwarn a slower SLO indi. 7.2.2 so it is set on SMOOTH to get it to slow down. Quick ones for warnings slower one for entrances. Then the crazy idea came up to use that to show a higher TF going before a lower TF. So even though it is jumpy you still wait for the other signals to come into play. To me as long as I have the CSS on my side I am in good shape other than being patient. It is designed to be super sensitive so you cant blame it if it is doing its job. The D2.1 and W2.1 are suppose to be jumpy and quick on the trigger. They are your first warning in most cases that a potential move is forming. |

I will be having my last day of school today and awards banquet. Then 2 weeks to close things down and turn it over to the new owners. Wonder what a teacher would do the last 10 minutes of his teaching career with a bunch of kids????????? ......................... give everyone balloons and play blowing them up, shooting them at each other, and popping them. |
