Would it be possible to add an alert for when all lines are in agreement on one side or the other, eg, all on top or all on bottom for sells? D/W/M

I like trading with the monthly candle (the green line on the Daily chart) So when the Daily and Weekly lines align with that and we get a cross of the STO7 at either 10/30 or 90/70 we have a really good trade.
Id like to be alerted when they fall into place.

Then once they are all in alignment, can you make it so it only give signals on the STO7 when its going with the trend? (D/W/M in alignment)

Not sure if any of that is possible, but the trades work out amazingly when it happens.

Thanks for all your help with all your amazing systems, im finally feeling confident in my trades.
(Only took me 6 years haha)

Hi,

To the best of my understanding, Sto 2,1,1 of 10.7 is equivalent to checking if price is above or below the previous close.
So WK2.1 is 100 when current price is above previous weekly close and 0 when current price below previous weekly close.
If you are using the 10.7 Sto indicator with D/W/M 2.1 , it should give you the alert you are asking for.

Cheers

Thanks for the response.

Im using Bob's latest template, and i show 10.7 and 10.9 STO's on the template chart.
Ive been watching it for a while now and have never seen it alert when all the lines are in agreement.

Maybe im doing something wrong? I get alerts when the STO7 crosses 10/30 90/70, but not when the D/W/M lines change from one side to the other, or when they are all aligned.

I might have mis-read something, but it was my understanding that the lines represented when price was above or below the open of the current candle, not the close of the previous candle. I guess that could be considered the same thing, if there were no gaps and the current candle opened at the exact price the previous candle closed. I could have that wrong, i apologize if i mis-understood that part. I might just be confusing myself.

Thanks for the help.

Even though I have written this on page 1 post 1 of the 10.7 page. I still see people talking about how the 10.7 system operates with the Daily Open or Weekly Open. It never has, it is in no way tied to the DO or WO or MO. It is a STO indi not a DO indi or WO indi or MO indi. All the formulas are based on the STO indicator. So it cant warn you of something it was never designed to do.

Milanese and I have written several times about this matter in the different threads yet it still persists in people's writings. They may actually act similar (STO7 D2.1 W2.1 WITH DO WO MO) on occasion but they were never designed to do so and are not programmed to do so. :)

The new dummy light bars however show the DO, WO, and the MO but the STO7 and D2.1 and W2.1 lines do not. Now if someone takes the duumy lights and adds a warning on a cross then yoy would have it. Right now with Sto7, TMA, and CSS warnings I am trying to reduce my warnings.

Here is my note of the first page of 10.7

JUST A NOTE ON THE STO INDI:

The Sto is not based on the opens but the STO as it relates to the last 2 candles

But if price is above weekly open, weekly 2.1 stoch is "high", if price is below weekly open, weekly 2.1 stoch is "low".

If price is above daily open, daily 2.1 stoch is "high", if price is below daily open, daily 2.1 stoch is "low".

And the daily/ weekly/ monthly open colored bars are perfect and easy for visual trading. Because of that there is no need for the daily/ weekly/ monthly stoch 2.1 indicator for me (only if checking the past historical highs/ lows I will apply the 2.1 indis temporary).

Question about TMA Indies:

What is the difference between TMATrue 2.0 / 3.0 and the TMA_CG mod 3.1 Indicator?

I looked at the code, but... No Idea what goes on.

Thanks a lot!

P.S. I found an document with the statement, that TMA repaints and True not. Is that the difference?

Thanks for the clarification Bob, not sure how i missed that.

What I was looking for was an alert when the lines pin to one side or the other in alignment.

Not a big deal, just a wish list item for me.

Thanks again.

Could you explain how the sto indicator works relating to the last two candles?
I couldnt find this info.
Ive been trying to figure it out but cant seem to do so.

It doesnt seem to be based on the last 2 candles direction, eg, both up for both down.

Its a great indicator, would just like to know more details on how it functions.

Thanks for the help!
