Attached is an indi I put together a while ago, it draws some bands on a H4 chart, inner band and outer band, they are calculated from the ADR away from the ma 240.

Less risky trades are in between the bands.

Well we can't win them all and sometimes that's just the way trading goes ;)
Same here, SL hit.
GP feed.
Hi,

Thanks
Andy

Hi,

Thanks to all contributors of BASA, specially to Shelley and Steve for all your great efforts.

Last night, I launched BASA OOTB on my live account with FXCM. When I checked in the morning, it had taken short trade on CADJPY @93.296 and was in negative. I was expecting it will close due to the 2-opposite-candles rule, but it did not. It is still open at -50.

Later, a long trade was taken on EURJPY @134.735. It was closed at +30 and just after two minutes a long trade was taken again for the same pair @ 135.102. It is now -16. I don't understand this behavior.

My last trade today is a long on CHFJPY @109.356, which is now -19.

Regards,
Jauhar

I am GUESSING that your minimum lot size did not allow BASA to close half the position when you reached +30. I also got that EURJPY trade but I did not get to +30. Trade is still open. check your lot size.

Steve, Shelley and all the contributors to this AWESOME EA... Thank you all!
I have the latest BASA running on a demo and a few hours ago it opened a CHFJPY buy trade that looks like this...

Does anyone know what could be the cause? I've gone through the thread and the UG twice but I havent been able to figure out why.

Ala! Kumbe! (just looked up your signature :) ).

I have it too and it is marked as a re-entry trade but it doesn't make sense to me either. I didn't notice until you highlighted it - good spot. I would have expected a valid re-entry trade to have opened at the OPEN of the same candle which it opened at the high of.

Something a bit odd there. I am not sure how to try to track it down to be honest. Anyone else any ideas?

Cheers,
Dave.

Maybe an activation of spreadspike detection mode with forbidding trading for a certain time in that the spike was detected ( at exp.:if the spread was 3x higher as averagespread) could be a help to avoid such trades..

Cheers :)

Can you post your charts?
Also check your lot size as suggested by Tom...it sounds like that may be the issue

I didn't get the eurjpy on my Go account, but did on GP...closed half at +30
