Thanks for your reply.
I understand and have read through the whole thread before posting a comment {I am not technically challenged}. Have all the files that is required for the system to work and have followed the steps to the teeth. As aforementioned HGI standalone is working without any hick-ups. I will again check if there is a problem with wine that I am using

If you don't understand any of this, you will have to re-read these four paragraphs until you do. All the information is contained in there.

As I recall you also need to input the pairs you want to show/trade or 0 for All into the mq4. Can't check right now but I'm sure that is so.

As far as I'm aware, the windows file system under linux/wine is case-sensitive. So, if you would have named the hgi-indicator something like hgi_v17.00.ex4 and HGIMatrix is looking for HGI_v17.00.ex4, it would not find it. Worth checking.

I did a refresh of all the files. Checked some of the OS level rules amended few and viola its working now. Many thanks for all the help

@keke, many thanks for reaching out to me in private and helping me with some guidelines. As a linux user you wont see much of the symbols that has been coded into these indi's and yes I have struggled.
Keke, understood am using a linux box and proactively suggested I have wingdings fonts installed it goes into < the fonts folder inside wine directory>

Had a eureka moment and then slapped myself for missing out on such a silly thing

When trying to load the HGI-matrix I get an error stating that there is an array out of range [697,77].

What can I do?

Thanks Renee & all involved for such a useful and nicely coded indicator.

I've made some enhancements that I wanted to make and am sharing them here in case others find them useful.

Note: I've only made these changes to the "L" version as that's the one I'm currently using. I'll leave it to Renee if he wants to merge in my changes to the official first post versions. Otherwise if you wanted to apply these changes to the other version yourself, you could use something like WinMerge to merge them in if you're comfortable with that.


Enhancements:

- Added new parameter ShowATRCurrency which displays the dollar value of the ATR in the account currency for more practical comparison of volatility (for eg. GBPJPY may have lower ATR than GBPCAD but GBPJPY has a higher dollar value range)

- ShowATRCurrency works in unison with ShowATR so if ShowATR = false then ShowATRCurrency makes no difference, it's either both or nothing.

- Fixed minor display issue with bottom border of the cell not displaying properly.

- Made the template load a bit more flexible by allowing you to setup template variants for specific timeframes. For eg. "If the Template name for opening charts" is set to "MyTemplate.tpl" and you have "MyTemplate M5.tpl" & "MyTemplate M30.tpl" files, it will try and load the template with the matching timeframe first and if that fails, it will just load "MyTemplate.tpl". In my case I wanted this ability as I have multi-timeframe indicators in my templates that are setup differently for different timeframes - so loading the exact template for a timeframe avoids me having to alter indicator settings and messing about.

Note: For this to work, you just need to have a corresponding template with the exact same name but with " M5", " M30" etc. added to the end of the name in upper case.


Notes for Renee & coders:

- Added EventKillTimer to OnDeinit so that the timer is cleaned up gracefully rather than being rudely aborted by Empty4 (which could cause issues potentially).

- Added version constant so that version appears on the indicator when you hover over it.

- Refactoring to move template handling code into the one function - to address some duplicated sections of code.

Thanks again for this very cool indicator and it's with pleasure I'm able to give something small back initially and as a way to express my appreciation for being welcomed into this forum. I feel very fortunate and privileged to be here.

There is a new version of HGIMatrix (version 34) in Post 1 of this thread. Version 34 incorporates the changes made by peteforex (above) and also merges the indicator version and the library version of the code, into one version. This is all explained in Post 1 under Edit 34:.
