As a matter of interest which pairs were the loss making ones. If you recall two weeks ago I foolishly had a long GBPCHF (our old friend) and I was looking to close this with 120 pip loss. This morning the Swiss Central bank gave us a Christmas gift in the form of negative interest rate and the above pair jumped by around 140 pips. Closed it with 15 pip profit.

Well I got my computer and I am grateful for all the advice. The deciding factor were several so here it goes. I went out and go me a HP monster.

1. First it had to be an AMD because my son worked for them. I got a AMD A107700K with 10 computer cores. I didnt even know they did that.
2 12G memory
3 2 TB of hard drive, dont ask me what I will do with all that I hve never filled a 250 HD.
4. Beats audio and R7 graphics board plus a bunch of other computer jargon stuff.

Gonna need to adjust to Windows 8.1. Will be putting it together today and then have to go out and buy a new mattress.

Al I also got a wifi booster since Grandma's house is brick and block

I am ready to conquer the Forex world. Ohhhhhhhh only a 23 inch monitor anything bigger made my eyes go buggy. So I am ready.

I´m trading less than normal this week. I´m using the rest of the month for testing HGI live and the great HGIMatrix MTF. If you haven´t used it yet, you should. It is dynamite.

Bob, I hope you do better than I did with Windows 8.1. I went from XP to 8.1 about 6 months ago with a new computer and I still barely am able to use it. I am thinking seriously of downgrading to Windows 7 even though Microsoft has stopped supporting it. I feel that 8.1 is a bigger pile of crap than Empty4.

Be most interested to hear your opinion after you have had it for awhile. Bob, thanks again for all you have contributed and the inspiration and assistance you have given myself and others who follow what Steve terms "the great train wreck" of Forex.

The salesperson/techguy told me how to get the Windows 7 desktop configuration on W8 if I didnt like it. Evidently it is in the updates. I will get to that later. Grandma and wife are clearing out a space in the house for the computer setup.

The 10 core is on the box as (4 CPU + 6 GPU in parenthesis) so I wondered what that all meant. So appreciate the info. Anyway let me have my fun. I gotta 10 core, I gotta 10 core, nah, naw, nah, nah ........... LOL

First of all: thanks to Bob, Steve, Ellixe, Milanese, Baluda for such a great trading system. Your indicator is really great!

A small tip to improve the performance:
Put calcCSS (and / or getSlope) function in ONE "master" indicator. This indi only calculates the values (for a given/all timeframes) and saves them using GlobalVariableSet.
All other HGI "slave" indicators only read these values using GlobalVariableGet.

A separate Empty4 "master" instance (installed in a different folder) may be used to make time consuming calculations and e.g. store values in Windows registry. Then all "slave" indicators read the values from registry. Below is a sample MQ4 code. "double" values are saved in registry as strings by
bool WriteRegDouble(string Path, string Name, double Value)
Reading by:
bool ReadRegDouble(string Path, string Name, double& Value)
I have written an additional DLL in Lazarus (source included). Sorry I do not have time to translate WinAPI to MQ4 and then use low level Windows regitry functions.

Well Done, I haven't Started on the D1 Time frame yet, hope to get to it Eventually in the New Year, I am Still at the Battlefield with the HGI Alerts fighting Bulls and Bears on the H1 and H4 Time frames, but it's Interesting and Exciting just watching and playing the Game with Tiny Bits of Coins.....

Bob, can't you just copy your Empty4 directory across your network to get it installed on your new system, or backup and restore the directory to your new rig.

If you haven't already, I would really recommend a second monitor. After having one for a couple of years, I couldn't operate without. I keep the smaller 20" monitor in front of me, then the 26" off to the side. Empty4 charts stays on the big one and the Forums & browser are in front. It's my sweet setup.

Now that's pure class. The forum has its own dedicated monitor. Brilliant.
