I've actually been considering switching to forex futures trading at some point, as the price is regulated by a central exchange. Only problem is I'm not rich enough yet to afford the minimum deposit ($100k in Australia at various futures brokers) - and they have different platforms that chances are can't be automated in any way.

This is why when developing robots to take trades, we have a trade on one platform and not on the other, if that 240 MA is a pip away from entry and the other platform 2 pips over, then one will enter and one not.

Which leaves the programmer looking for bugs that never were.

On the futures stuff, checkout the cot report, free info every Friday evening, where the
large traders, hedge funds and commercial company's have to disclose what trades they have
open.

There are some indicators and scripts available for Empty4, and simple to use, just update one a week.

I can only speak for Alpari, demo and live different, and a few other brokers I have used are different on live accounts, the company who have the Dealbook platform are also different, you can view where the pivots and MA,s are on each broker, they are different on quite a few.

That is why the ea did not manage my manual trades early this morning. In future, I would manage these using Steve's MPTM. peter
