Thats very good going Bob, would love to learn from the trades you take, do you post your trade log at all? Then again might be considered a bit cheeky, just trying to understand your thinking!

Hi BOB

At this stage, using this breakthrough 10.6 system, would you recommend to trend trading only?

Many thanks

nanningbob wrote:Well, I have done 10.6 for exactly 4 weeks now, 20 days. It has been done in not the best of markets but we have pulled some good trades.

232 wins
78 losers
17.4% increase of my account in 20 days.
75% win rate
4680 pips

Wasnt able to keep up the 1% a day average but I dont mind. If I can be anywhere close to those kind of results, I will be a very happy man. At some point between now and the end of the year I hope to completely revamp my booklets and post a final version. I dont see that I need to do mulch tinkering with what I have at this point. I think it pretty well cover any market condition and get you on the right side of the trade a majority of times. Now it is just a matter of developing the expertise to trade season in and season out.

Anyways time for bed. With a workable Syrian compromise coming down the pipe it looks like the markets can get back to their usual rhythm again. Good luck.
Always awesome to see you crush it, Bob. I look forward to studying this adaptation more. Been a tricky few months for longer trend based systems.

I keep hoping your sheer volume will at some point rub off on me. Kinda like your CT trades too. ;)

Thanks for being a great teacher, even if the conversation isn't as frenetic as it once was.

Mike

Yeah, stick with the basics until you got it. Not much CT trading from me but I still will do it. Almost all my pips came from the JPY session yesterday. Euro and USA sessions were kind of dead. I really hope the market picks up again. Much easier to trend trade than choppy markets.

OK CSS today shows AUD and NZD strength with EURO, CHF, and JPY weakness. USD and CAD going opposite directions so that is where to go look. Looks like some pairs are setting up some 10.6 trades.

It's amazing how the CSS can be so different on the D1 vs the H4

Bob, your CSS D1 chart is vastly different from mine even on Cowboy IBFX. I have standard settings. How about you?

Sorry, Forgot to post a screenshot. Does anyone else have this variation?

In my view, yours is not a lot different than Bob's. You both have the Aud and Nzd screaming up and the same pairs screaming down. Mine is quite different. I am GMT +2

I quit looking at them. You noticed I took the 4H out for 10.6. I am only interested in long term what a currency is doing. Gives me more good trades than bad. Remember the lower the TF the more you get involved in whip lash and CT moves. The AUD and NZD are up because of recent good economic news but the basic fundamentals are still in play. China economy is going to grow at a slower pace. That is not bad news it is just a reality of economic growth. I think the AUD and NZD have hit their new highs or are near their new highs but there is a chance they could go a bit higher yet. I notice many commentators are big on AUD and NZD going up up and away but I dont see it. I see a new range. But then again I have been wrong before.

Anyway hopefully this Syrian thing will mostly resolve itself with the USA this week and things will open up a bit.
