make sure that you have done it as described below

Once you have downloaded any file all you have to do is place the file into the relevant folder (as described below) and restart your Empty4 terminal.
Custom Empty4 Indicators

Place into the folder called “Indicators” inside your Empty4 installation folder. Usually found here:
C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\[32 character long Empty4 ID]\MQL4\indicators
Custom Empty4 Templates

Place into the folder called “Templates” inside your Empty4 installation folder. Usually found here:
C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\[32 character long Empty4 ID]\MQL4\templates
You may need to enable viewing hidden folders in order to see the folder called “AppData”. To do this go into your control panel > folder options > view tab > “Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

Bob,
Just want to say to you first for heading this up and your coding friends Tomasso and the others (whose names I don't recall right now,) to you and all who have so generously given of your time and efforts, I just can't thank you enough!!!!

While I'm still learning the fundamentals and how they affect price along with sorting the regularly released reports for their effects, 10.7 has taken my trading to an entirely new level. I use a paid system which is great for giving me signals on the 30 minute chart,but since I don't presently counter trend trade, I have to see if the 4hr is in agreement.

These indies make it mindless to determine as you follow price whether one is counter trend trading or not.I'm blown away! :clap: And I'm finally entering trades with more accurate targets so if the range of a pair allows it combined with the distances TMA provides, I've got confidence to go for it and am having nice results.

Also, I don't use the pivot box but am LOVING H4DWMopen bar. With the trend for all four time frames right in front of me like that it is soooo handy. Gives me such a great snapshot of whats happening all at once,I'll bet I could live off that one alone. Must confess I still have a stoch 8,3,3, along with 10.7 on the four hour and 10.9 on the daily but hey, picture the kid who is just learning to ride the bike without training wheels :lol:

I love how when I'm waiting for say a retrace that's happening on the 4hr to turn back down. I notice there are times where the daily and weekly bars showing the downtrend are close. When that happens, you can literally count the pips knowing how many down it will take to turn the daily or weekly bars on 10.7 Stoch back down, AMAZING!

It's not easy doing this stuff around my 12 hour rotating shift job. But the way this system compliments what I'm using on the 30 minute, I'm finally stepping into the batter's box with confidence. A million thanks and God Bless you.

hi bob magnanimous as allways, i know you listed the pairs you use for just trading 12 pairs, i'm in the uk just wondered what your thoughts are, considering the zone i'm in i obviously trade the London and New york session, i noticed on your original list you dont have GBPJPY and EURJPY listed, along with a few others anyway your thoughts, cheers

you know, the other option is to start the Empty4 with the parameter /portable.

terminal.exe /portable


If we start the Empty4 with portable mode, the templates and indicators are stored at
the Empty4 install folder. If we use the portable mode, the Empty4 Install-Folder must be
outside of c:\program files

Yes thank you for remembering all, important is when using this option that Empty4 is not in C:\program files, as this will in many cases give problems...

Well you've completely lost me now! There is no Meta Quotes in the Roaming folder for me. The way I have been placing the indicators is through the actual Empty4 platform, File, Open Data Folder, then the Templates folder for the templates, then restarting Empty4. I think it was Dave who kindly shared that path which I found simple to follow.
Otherwise I don't know how to start in portable mode.
I do know that Empty4 is in Program files (x86) and that is where I used to go to put the indi's until this new build. So it would seem that wouldn't work either.
Anyway I'm happy to just add the indi's I need and create my own template.

You can set your own pairs you trade into the CSS and individually produce your own custom CSS. I have 3accounts going at once now and I have adjusted it for each one. So you can add them in and have your own. Or just use the 24pair one.

Cherry, just continue to use the 'Open Data Folder' method...that is getting you into the correct folder.

Tommaso's method and the portable mode work as well, but for me personally I use the data folder inside Empty4.

Thanks for the confirmation! Out of interest have you had a problem with the template showing all the indicators? As I said I can just create my own template, but I was curious as to why the 10.7 template when placed on the chart didn't include the indicators and if I was doing something wrong.
