Is it possible to make MPBM have the option to manage all open trades regardless of Magic No or trade comment?

I am using two EAs as part of my strategy, one automatically inserts a trade comment based on the ticket number.

If MPBM could manage trades by Magic No alone there wouldn't be a problem, because if there is no comment I can insert a space and it manages fine. However as the comment is automatically sent MPBM doesn't seem to work without a magic number entry and a trade comment entry - even if that comment is just a space.

Any ideas? Thanks
Try these ones I amended. Test them though as I haven't used either for a while.

Cheers,
Dave.

OK, one more question.

As part of my strategy I place trades with different lot sizes. This means setting a AdaptiveBreakEvenPips is not going to work.

Does anyone know of a basket trade manager where you can set a AdapativeCashBreakEven? This means that if I set this to $10 and have ten open trades it would have a CashBreakEven of $100. If one trade closes it would have a CashBreakEven of $90, and so on....

I'm not a coder and not sure how easy this would be to implement into MPBM, or if there is another EA which will accomplish this?

Thanks

I made another change to MPBM - just the no comment no magic number version. I changed it so that you have the option to have an adaptive % TP and SL. So if you have 5 trades and want an adaptive TP of 0.5% per trade it will TP at 2.5% of balance, similarly it will do the same for SL, if you wish or you can just have a fixed SL or any of the previous options. Each time a trade is added or removed from the basket it will amend the targets (TP and/or SL).

This might be of use to you KingofCoolville, even though not exactly what you wanted?

Please test before using in anger as I am not the world's best coder :uff:

I would like to amend the EA so that I can start trailing the basket by a percentage after it reaches a threshold. In an ideal world this would be related to the adaptive %'s so for example if I had 10 trades open, I might have a threshold to start trailing at 0.5% per trade, so at 5% gain, and I would want to trail 1/5th of the threshold size behind the basket. So in this case it would be 1% behind price the basket total value. So in this case if the basket value retraced to 4% it would close. However it the basket gained another 0.1% and then retraced it would close at 4.1% of balance, if it increased 5% then retraced it would close at 9% etc.

I guess I could just trail a fixed % behind the basket value - that would be easier but not as flexible.

The challenge I have is that it is easy to set TP and SL as a % of balance but running totals of basket value are managed in MPBM in cash or pips and the running total of pips is the only one stored in a global variable. So to deal with running totals as % of balance involves quite a bit of rework and/or conversion.

At the moment my coding "skills" are limiting me in implementing this so if anyone out there can think of an elegant solution to this please let me know. Tommaso?

Cheers,
Dave.

Probably, but only if I can get the % trailing to work! I will see if I can work it out next week if no decent coder comes up with any ideas.

Dave great work, I will take when markets reopen a look as with markets close all this coding is not easy to do..

Cheers :)

That would be amazing Tommaso and unlike my attempts I am sure it would work :cheer:

Hi, I am not sure if I am posting in the right place or not, but I am looking for information on the settings for the ix0 indicator created by Baluda.

Best regards, Darran.

Darran,

I am not sure which indicator you are referring to.
