I get it. It worked, now they want it to solve unemployment, economic ills, create jobs, etc. It wont do that. We need a business plan not a finance plan. Now we will have another huge bubble go boom. It almost makes me sick. We had such a great country and we were working our way out of this mess but it is not because of the decision makers in Washington. I dont know how much more our great economy can take of this stuff. The fix is not that difficult.

Cut the budget, invest in business startups, produce assets instead of debt. Instead we got a Congress that thinks fighting for ......................... oh crap whats the use. Sad really. I am ready to become a full fledged Libertarian/Anarchist. LOL

That is why I voted for Ron Paul last time at least in the Republican primary. Only one way to cure this country & that is one term max for every elected seat in this country whether it is a city, county, state or congressional seat. If you cut it to one term then they cannot turn into career politicians getting paid off by lobbyists. Until that day happens the USA is going to get worse and worse. Maybe I should start the One Term Party 8-)

Jeff

Post subject:  Duration of Move

Bob,

Thanks again for a wonderful system. You always manage to shed light on journey to consistent forex returns.

I was wondering since you were no longer using the CSS indi (version red, green, goldenrod) on your setup. How were you judging when a move was over since the STO 7 can't really do that as well as your CSS indi. Is it simply wait set pendings and wait for turn in direction of trend ? Then it may be a little more difficult trading CTs. Anyhow I will look to your examples and thanks again.

PS do you think this can be used as is in a scalping mode....i know u dont trade that way but thought i'd get your opinion

The STO 7 will work on any TF. Just a matter of getting the direction right. You see it move up/down or it topping/bottoming. I dont see any reason to go to a lower frame and catch it when it crosses. It may work very will that way. I have a multi-TF STO I may work on this weekend and see if gives me an even more accurate entrance or exit strategy.

The hardest thing in Forex is knowing when to exit the trade. I know I miss some pips sometime but you know I have talked about profiting halfway through a session. That is my most common formula so I take whatever that session gives me. If its ten I take ten if its a hundred, I take a hundred. I run so many trades it adds up even though maybe on some single pairs I leave pips laying around.

The CSS has always been, to me anyway, the best strength indi I have found so it is one way. The other way is to just ride the 30 or 60 MA until it crosses back over. Works great on trends but not so great in flat markets or short bursts. I wish I could tell you that price was going to run 500 pips or 100 pips or 50 pips. I have never really figured that one out yet. SOoooooooo something on the agenda. I use CSS still on the info page but I didnt use it very much on the 4H chart. Taking profit near the blue lines seems to be the best right now that I can offer.

Hi Bob, just noticed you have running 10.6 Individual Trade Manager EA but couldn´t find it anywhere... could you upload it please to test it? Thanks!

Ok, so no guarantee that this will not turn into a loser eventually. You can see the green arrow that marks where the pending filled - also the dashed turquoise line that marks the opening price. You would have to zoom in to see the dotted red stop loss line just underneath the WP (I have a trade manager monitoring all this) and the 'hard' stop well below that.

Big spike inspired by news but not enough to take out the trade. Then the spike reversal. Trade currently in profit, just.

I put Steve's MPTM in the folder on page 663. It is in the EA section. Is that what you are talking about??

In that screenshot you had running 10.6 Individual Trader Manager, but i only was able to find 10.4 ITM. I say this because i´m having conflicts running MPTM on the same platform with an EA that doesn´t get well with it, and perhaps this one could work properly. Thanks.

Viper exactly what doesn't work well? Maybe you need to change the magic number?

The one I posted only worked with the EAs posted. They are all set to the same Magic number. If you want it to be used on all trades you have to change the all trades from false to true.
