The higher the TF and the willingness to wait is a very successful strategy for forex. The higher the TF the more set and forget trading you can do. |

Dont make it difficult, when the aud strengthens the nzd will follow later. When the aud weakens the nzd will weaken later. If the eur/aud weakens you can then look to sell the eur/nzd later to weaken. If the gbp/aud strengthens you can look to buy the gbp/nzd later. The strategy worked all year except for about 3 months. That is a 75% or better ratio or chance to suceed. That is worth looking into and I have had a good time following. To me its simple aud goes up on CSS, I start looking at nzd pairs going up on the charts. If aud goes down on CSS then I start looking for nzd to go down on the charts. Once you get the hang of it it is quite cool. Oct 1 to now total pips nzd crosses. eur/nzd +1927 gbp/nzd +3090 nzd/chf +411 nzd/jpy -1335 nzd/usd +813 I dont trade aud/nzd but I did get +13 on one trade. nzd/jpy I got caught trying to CT trade it. total +4906 |

Hi Bob, shouldn't it be if EUR / AUD weakens, then look to sell EUR / NZD (and not gbp / aud) given that NZD is following AUD price action ? If so, what you have said above is confusing... Appreciate if you can clarify.. Thanks ! D |

Ok. I see in CSS AUD going up and NZD almost flat. So, NZD should go up sooner or later. Knowing that, I´ll take the NZD crossess against all the currencies sloping down. |

yes I would look for signals to buy nzd. Still have to be smart and find good spots to enter like dp or 240 line |

If anyone can take this program 'I-Exposure' and do three things with it. 1. Have a bottom line with total lots. In other words under the column that says net lots it will give a total of the total number lots in play at the bottom. I like this info for my MM. If I want to add positions but I am pushing my total lots too high then I want to know so I can close some out. 2. The second thing which is not as important but a new column which gives the total for each pair of swap costs. So if there are 3 trades going on the eur/usd it lets you know what your total swap costs are accruing on that pair. That will take a new column. 3. There is a another program called I-Breakeven. I would like I-Breakeven figures column added to I Exposure indi as a new column so I only have to run this one indi instead of two indis. I have attached the I-Breakeven indi so you can see the programming on that one and see if it can fit into the I-Exposure indi. Thanks |

There are 4 basic ways to trade. Using indicators which is what this system is. Using news which when you catch it like the last two days is great. Fundamentals which I refer to frequently are what makes a currency run in a certain direction for weeks or months. Price patterns which is trading with no or 1 indicator sometimes referred to as naked trading. What drives people crazy is i will use all 4 methods at times. When I saw those spikes on the daily chart for the euro and gbp pairs I knew a drop would be coming so I played it. Bingo, I made more in two days than I did the whole month of December and the whole month of November. I didnt think I would get such dramatic results though and the moves were much bigger than I expected. When price does a major dive like that I just keep adding trades until it stops and I got a boatload so far. I will quit at the euro close tonight. Now the best way to determine which ones to ride is the ones that are angling away from each other on the CSS info page. So the blue line show the eur, chf, angliing sharply down since mid December and the aud, nzd, orange line is angling up and crossing them. So I ride those pairs strongly. As long as those lines are going in opposite directions you will see strong moves. The gbp and cad are angling down slower and the usd is angling up. The JPY is trying but have a tough time going up the hill. so I also traded gbp/nzd, and usd/jpy with smaller success. |

thank you so much for your post Bob! after reading your post earlier this morning, asia timezone, i went to take a good look at the 4H & Daily CSS and managed to hop onto the euraud decline from the DP and got some nice pips quick questions, /how could one tell when the trend coming to an end? when the H4 CSS begins to form a trough? /is it helpful to look at H1 CSS or is it mostly noise and we should just focus on H4 and Daily CSS? Thank you! and have a great weekend!:) |

The CSS is letting you know a move is slowing down. For example the eur and chf both had been declining since mid December on the daily CSS. Now their prices kept going up during that time but the rate of increase was slowing down or better yet its strength was weakening. Then on the daily chart there were these huge pin bars with the euro pairs and on the 4H double, triple tops or 1.2.3 swing trade patterns. It was all there, the reversal signals were there and POW. The Chf crossed the 0 line the first trading day of the year and the eur the 2nd and the collapse was on and the gbp ended up collapsing more following them. The 4H CSS, which I really dont use that much, really confirmed these moves. I dont use the 1H CSS at all and wouldnt know if it helps or hurts. Probably works good if a move is going back into the strength of the currency but I dont use it. I find the 4H sometimes useful if a currency is clearly slowing down, like the eur chf did during the last 2 weeks of the year and I want to get a jump of another currency crossing it in another direction. But for these moves the last two days I used the CSS to see that they were definitely slowing down and retreating and the aud and nzd were coming up. I trade small lots so I took the risk and was handsomely rewarded. What i mean by handsomely is, I had a period in which I had 68 winning trades in a row. That is unheard of and have never done anything like that before and started the year by increasing my account almost 9% this week most of it the last two days. For the week so far: Trades Total: 152 Trades Won: 148 Trades Lost: 4 Avg Profit: 31 pips Avg Loss: -20 pips Total Lots: 18.43 Grand total pips won 4480.4 Even though I traded 3-5 cents per thousand look at the total lots I ended up playing by using lots of small trades. You better believe I raked in some cash the last two days. Once I get on a roll its shocking the returns I can get at times. |
