Thanks VM9999 - sorry i have not been clear.

Just looked at what happened while i have been out.

As you can see the price retraced after hitting that resistance level. (I believe its called a 'double top?')

In my mind if the EA was programmed to take the trade a little bit higher than the last swing high (or lower in a sell situation) we would be more sure it had broken a level of resistance and this would less likely happen? 'Swing high say plus 5 pips or a certain %'

The point has been proven with this particular trade. Based on my thoughts above this trade would never have been taken as it never broke the resistance of the last swing high (well not by much anyway).

As ever, stand to be told that is a rubbish idea! It would help my learning if i knew why though.

The crossing red lines is where i suggest the trade should be taken?

Dear longytravel, as you can see on the attached picture, price was go in the right direction as far as 25 pips and then go in the opposite direction. How many pips do you really want to be sure in the right choice? 50? 100? Just forget about it.

We are looking at AUDNZD, not EURNZD as in your picture.

You can see (if you scroll) that price never got above the last swing high (1.26649 v 1.26629) - i am using a 5 min chart this time after your advice!

There was also a further two attempts to break that level and then a 4th go after we entered? That one marginally higher but again failed.

Your right, where do you stop? I guess that's what i wanted to debate. I suppose if you entered later and it did carry on in the same direction you would lose some pips.

Swings and roundabouts.

It just doesn't make sense to inexperienced mind that you enter marginally under proven areas of resistance (with the spread taken in consideration) when you could (i suppose??) enter when it was broken.

Would welcome Andy's view (and then i will leave it!)

PS - how do you add attachments - your pictures are much better than mine!

Dear longytravel, I'm just have choose one of the 16 opened now pairs to show how different results may be. If you will try to watch only AUDNZD in this particular case, you may just going wrong. This is very special situation, that is uncommon. Please open right now 10+ pairs and try to suppose how this EA could work. You know the rules. You will clearly see that we have no such easy recipe.

press F8 - show ask price, you'll see additional red line - ASK price. Distance between regular (BID) and ASK price is Spread. You can check this out in the internet, I think. I mean that even if you choose to open trades at the Bid price, or +some pips after that - there is no guarantee that price couldn't go in the opposite direction (as I've shown in my example).

Hello Mr Long,

christmas eve basket was superb! with the default profitlock settings..basket closed at about 120pips.
max dd was about 90pips but i think high watermark was 220pips...not too sure cos basket was already closed after i got up from bed.

Mr Long n All Guys trading this great ea,

anyone got any trades after the christmas break?
my last trade was a solo trade of buy cadjpy on 24th dec that banked 58pips..., after that there were no more trades.

its weird becos some charts looked liked there could have been some valid trades.
Mr Long, do we need to restart the ea? the status says "runnin" n server time is correct.

WOW 11 pairs? cool...but when did the trades open? on 24th i had a basket..closed in a few hours in profit..then after that 1 more trade..then no more until now.

I'm still use version 1.00, maybe this is the answer.
