Thanks Mark, but it still isn't an EMA crossover alert?

Rob, 100% correct! Apologies!

Here's the link to the original EMA Crossover indicator (http://www.forexfactory.com/attachment. ... 1188513908) that I modified into its present incarnation (Post 1) so the alert sounded at the same time as the MAs crossed.

Trust this what you want. :D
Cheers

Thanks Mark,

Afraid I haven't got a GT3RS. If I could afford one, I wouldn't be hanging around on forex forums trying to learn how to trade!!! Lol!!!

Rob, I reckon that's one of the best reasons I have heard of for trading!!! :D :D It's part of my reason for getting 'Ducks' up and running as a viable system.

The young bloke down the road from my eldest, Ben, has an everyday GT4 and a GT3RS. Ben and Mindy met them when they were photographing a wedding. He's a millionaire who understands dream-building and goal-setting. The 4 of them got on like a house-on-fire. Ben's had a drive and they both get regular invites to drop in.

We've had 'Dream Books' for years. The kids have had their own since they were each about 5. We have all grown accustomed to updating our books on a very regular basis. Ben has 'owning a GT3RS inside 5 years' as one of the major goals his dream-book. I'm doing all I can to ensure that because I get to drive it for a week when it arrives.

Cheers. :D

Hehe! Nice one Mark!!

Well, that's the first one on my list, but I also want a 599GTO.

Not to mention various racing cars and rally cars!!

Hopefully, we can get some ducks nicely lined up and make a few quid!! Lol!

Lol! Now you can see why I want one!!!

Don't like the mid-engined Ferraris. But LOVE the front engined V12s.......

Anyway, we're getting a bit off topic here and Steve might come in and boot us!! Lol!!

I'm starting to hunt for Duck setups on D1, H4 and when I get chance, H1. Only looking at the majors and a couple of crosses [EURJPY and GBPJPY].

5 minute charts are impossible for me due to work........

During the day the M5 is the same for me!

Because I live in AUS, Sydney opens at 0800; Tokyo - 1000; Berlin - 1800; London - 1900 and New York - 2400. Depending on my day's schedule I get the D1 set up between 08-0900. I would love to also do the H4 & H1 but they are pretty much out of the question at the moment. By the time I get home at night (19-2000) I am ready for bed - and that's when all the European & US action is just getting started. That's when I trade the M5 for an hour or so.

That's why I am here -to change the odds in my; and a lot of other people's favour

Cheers

Short EURUSD on H1 from 1.29266. Can't post a chart because I'm in work!

I suspect EUR could be due to reverse after the bullish move of the last couple of days.

Let's see how it pans out.

Aussiedoc wrote:The Pivot rules I was taught are:-
1. a pivot is an indication of a change in trend direction - determined by 5 candles. (1-2-3 candles trending in one direction followed by the 4th, 5th & subsequent candles in the opposite direction.)
2. the 3rd candle is the pivot (swing-high/low).
3. a pivot is not fully formed until either the 4th or 5th candle opens above/closes below the body of the pivot candle.

Is this what you need??
Cheers.
Hi Doc!

Can you explain part 3 a bit more? For a sell, are you looking for the 4th or 5th candle to actually open above the body of the pivot candle and then close below it? It's hard to tell from your snapshot. I've attached an updated Ducks that will place a vertical line marking all the pivots points based on this understanding. Let me know how close it is to what you consider a pivot point.

Here's a picture of what it looks like for EURUSD this morning.

The arrows are from the fractals indicator. And before anyone gets too excited, the vertical lines are drawn two bars after they happen. ;)

Sorry for the delay, but I'm back on task!
