i have the same "issue". what i have to resort to is turn off live trading then only close the open trades, to avoid ea taking new trades in the same direction of the trades i am closing ...
not ideal but practical for now

Another thought is when we get to the end of a trend, trades could be caught on the wrong side when there is a swing in the opposite direction anyway these are normal things in trading and stops will always have to be in place.

George you are so correct....it is impossible for any human being to scan through 4 different t/frames on 24 pairs all day long so your dashboard and certainly the Ea is a huge advantage.

Just one thing going forward having set the "lookback minutes" so far back my trading parameters will probably remain open for longer time periods, so if I close a batch it will immediately open another trade on the same currency pair because the rules are still valid for the trade. It did that yesterday, when I closed my trades it opened more trades. I was fortunate however and the trades went into profit immediately. Other times I might not be so lucky...Any ideas welcome. I will however disable the ea in future and close the trades manually at the end of the session.

There is a parameter, called 'Time (in seconds) between trades' that ensures that trades of the same symbol will be at least the given number of seconds apart. I noticed that you have set the parameter to 15 (seconds). You may need to increase this.

Hi Guys after Rene pointed out my mistake with opening the same trades on the same currency pair I have gone back to the trading manual have a clearer understanding now I have set the time in seconds between trades back to default 2700 that should resolve this... Also another thing ...there are plenty of trades available so I have set the required signals in the in t/frame 1 (5 min column to 5 signals or arrows) to be included in the currency strength test and required signals 4 in t/frame 2 ...15 min

If trading conditions exist and there is no open trade because you just closed it manually, then any EA is going to yell, "Yehaaaaa. Time to party." and send a fresh trade.
