Hi gigi

My comment - I would wait for this thing to turn around and start dropping. At the top of the grid I worry the momentum is running out and a retrace or complete reversal are just as likely as a further move up. Depends how many pips you see in that move upwards.

You can use CSS WITH HGI reads from http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =88&t=4735.
:clap: When two pairs are ranging it would fit perfectly with this system.
:yahoo: When two pairs are getting ready to switch directions and cross it would fit this system.

Ranging pairs would fit the following criteria
1. CSS lines are both inside the +20/-20 lines
2, CSS lines are running parallel with each other. Whether the parallels are angling up/down/flat makes no difference. For example CAD and NZD are both flat now. AUD, JPY, CHF are all angling up parallel up and USD, GBP are paralle angling down.
This would give you NZD/CAD as ranging
AUD/JPY, AUD/CHF, JPY/CHF as ranging with the AUD being the stronger moves
GBP/USD ranging with GBP being the stronger move
3. CSS lines are angling toward each other

You can trade both ways but one pairs move would be stronger than the other in some cases according to CSS reads.

Just remember the bigger range move will be done by the line that is higher than the other line. That is because the higher line is running stronger than than the other line.

Hopes this helps in where to best look for ranging trades with this system.

Update on my Gold trades, I think I should take my profit first because the red news on CNY and Ausie on the next hours can bring price anywhere.

I haven't started using HGBnS so manually its easy to maximise the CSS check strengths then go to the relevant pair on the same TF.

I've just got in on Gold now supported by the weakening dollar. Could be good for the 300pips to centerline..
