Hi Guys
I have a little dumb question. I am trying to nail the use of custom parameters and I can follow Thomas' example in the user guide OK to the point of doing the first three parameters, but I am unclear how to do the 4th and subsequent parameters. Could someone point me to an example, please.

Someone requested this one so here it is, I can't tell you much about it but it will take signals based on the arrow directions, hopefully it's useful.. Make sure to use Universal Symbols Drone

Hi Vince.

Simply concatenate all parameters like p1,p2,p3,p4,p5,p6....

The number of parameters is not predefined. The 0,0,0 is just an example of three. You can use from one to umpteen parameters, whatever you need.

Here is another useful indicator for our drone library. This is the Ehlers Smoothed RSI and it is in the group of oscillators I am exploring for use as entry/exit triggers used with the TMA+CG mladen bands breach on the Day TF. The whole trick with this strategy is to judge when the counter trade entry should be hit following the breach or multiple breaches. Early days with this project but for sure this is a useful RSI indicator. In the screenshot of Day TF all the indicators are set to current time frame and labelled with a color code to help you work out which indy is which.

In the UBD set file below I have asked the drone to send a buy/sell signal when the Ehler's Smoothed RSI turns from up to down or down to up, using a shift setting of 2. This should be seen as a start point. You could trial variants of this set file with a trigger that requires the indy to turn further down or up or cross a trigger value.

Tip: Keep an eye on day time frame these next few weeks, some solid counter trades coming I think.

Hi Guys

I am wanting to use a UBD indicator to make a signal from a buffer value which falls in a range of constant values say between 1.0 and zero. Is there an easy way to do this that I fail to see. It seems like UBD only wants to have constant value mean a single numerical value.

This might be a cool little example when I have it sorted which I will share.

Hi Thomas Thanks for responding here is a trimmed down chart from my manual live trading account. For this system I counter trade breaches of the TMA bands when the support resistance indicators I am using say that the previous move has expired and the counter trade is on. At the moment I am testing the Fisher transformation indicator seen in the indicator window. I got this indicator from Ben. It is the one that WallyWonka's Mega indicator is based on - the values produced in the main buffer are virtually identical to the Mega indicator. The smFisher indicator is attached.

I have marked the chart with the entry and exit signals I am going for. The two horizontal lines on the indicator window are at the 1.0 and -1.0 levels. I have been able to make UBD set files for the entry signal and also I have made a slope one which I am looking at to control when entries are taken on re-entry trades. What I would like to do is be able to send an exit signal for a long trade when the smFisher value comes down from above the 1.0 level and crosses below it. Opposite for short trade. This signal mustn't interfere with the entry of a long trade signaled when the smFisher passes upwards past zero or wants to enter when the smFisher is traveling upwards between zero and 1.0. Hope this is clear.

Thomas partly what I am doing here is practicing with the UBD to make sure I learn the use of it properly.

The trade on the chart was closed on a pull back prematurely - the smFisher would have told me to stay in the trade with above rules.

Thomas if you are really busy this can wait I am not in a mad rush.

Edit Note June 9 I have done more work with this version of the Fisher Transformation indicator and have decided not to work with it this particular indicator and have deleted it from this post. As most of you know there are many crap modifications of the original Ehlers Fisher Transformation indicator. This one I posted (smFisherTransform3_impr. mq4), turns out to repaint three candles all along its journey to make better looking curves and turns. This serves no purpose and it could be a problem to adapt to Universal Drone work. Very sorry if this wasted anyone's time. But this idea is well worth pursuing and my manual trading with this project continues to show promise. Thomas and Steve please deal with this post as you see fit. Once Thomas has had a chance to consider the right way to approach the idea suggested here I will come back with legit versions of the Fisher Transformation indicator and UBD or USD set files to move forward with if results are satisfactory.

I see. What you are looking for are operators "CrossFromAbove"/"CrossFromBelow". Nice idea. You could then set up two UBDs for your indi. One signaling the entries and the other signaling the exits.
