A quick visual back test indicates a strong win rate on H4 trades when: H4 trade is only taken in the direction of the D1 TMAslopetrue (i.e, slope is either negative for sell or positive for buy), H4 TMAslopetrue passes above 0.4 for a buy or below -.4 for a sell, and the buy or sell agrees with weekly open and weekly histogram, along with a pivot cross or close above the blue MA. It is interesting that there is nearly always a pivot cross or close above the blue MA when the other above entry criteria match up.

Ok guys thanks for all the discussion. This is what I am looking for and I do like this new modified TMA which is a far better version than the other true TMA I have in my collection. LOL collection, wonder if the old models will become antiques and be worth something 20 years from now. Any way this is what I am looking at and want to see if you can concur. If I use the true TMA and put the numbers at 3 and 6 instead of 4 and 8. Does this compensate for the range difference or as I see the discussion by some, it doesnt matter. What to look for in the back test is this. At what number do you see the break out from the previous high/low. In other words with this new true TMA is the breakout at 4, 3, or 2. That is what that number should tell you. When it reaches that number in the angle that is the sign of a break out. With the back test now more accurate, that is where we want that first number to be. The angle is sitting at the spot where BO is most likely going to happen. The slope or steepness of the move is showing BO. That is where I had the 4 number in the past. The second number 8 is equal to the move is now steep enough that it is on a run or better defined, if price retraces then you see it will continue on back into the trend and not go back into its range. That is what those numbers are suppose to signify. So I see a move and enter and the bar is near or at 8 I have a very good chance price will continue, however, with the new range that number may now be 5 or 6. That is what I am looking for. I want to know? Do I stay in or get out. If I keep it at 8 but now it really is 6. I may close my trades too early or not play for that 2nd or 3rd moves. That is what I am looking for. I hope this made sense to you.

I think this picture shows what you mean? The way EUR went up last Friday may mean the end of this run for now, time & price action will tell.

my mtf indicator in development shows a different picture ....
nt tma-css-mtf eurusd 1h.gif
Check the first indicator from top ( TMA in H1, M30, H4, D1 ) the cross of the H4 D1 in combination with the step ups seems to be a strong sign of a possible trend end and maybe also a reversal in process...

But strength of EUR is falling and USD is raising...

will see what London open will bring...

It took a couple of minutes of staring at this for the penny to drop. But, NeoTrader, this is truly awesome.

Purely out of laziness and a desire to see all the onformation presented at once, I want TMA H4 and D1 on the same chart. You deliver.

I cannot wait for you to release this, mate.

Gah!!!

Translation:
It's a hot summer's day, and I've invented a new ice cream flavour, Delicio-Choc-Fudge-Super-Crunchy-Win-The-Lottery-And-Score-The-Lady-Of-Your-Dreams.

But it melts in the sun. I'll have that fixed by, say, winter.

:) great translation program you have there... ;)

Be patient...it will not take that long...I hope... ;)

I have some problems with the values of the other TFs...they are all slightly off...except the TMA values...I'm still searching for the bloop...but it is not a logical problem more a Empty4 problem I presume...since the function call is always the same...

will see...

LOL idempotent! :D

NT, I have trouble keeping up with all your creations! So this one has US and EUR on separate plots. Have you decided that works better than both currencies on one plot? I thought the Diff plot was really powerful.

hi gary,

hehe, actually I am not as creative as paul is... ;)
garyfritz wrote:So this one has US and EUR on separate plots. Have you decided that works better than both currencies on one plot?
Regarding your question... yes and no...;)

This new indicator allows to show up to 5 MTF slopes of one slope of my previous Indicator...Basecurrency, Crosscurrency, DIFF, or TMA...what you see on the last screenshot is 3x the same indicator only with different baseslopes....and only for analysis ... for normal trading it would be to resource hungry...

And just to show what kind of information it can give see below
NT TMA-CSS-MTF.png
TMA H1 crosses first H4 and then D1 nice entry signal...if the M30 also crosses the H1 the move will get stronger...;)
garyfritz wrote:I thought the Diff plot was really powerful.
actually it is...like the TMA itself...if you check the last version of my NT TMA-CSS-SP where I incorporated the TMA slope you will see that both DIFF and TMA show almost the same values all the time... with the DIFF only slightly off the TMA. Since the calculation overhead for the Diff is much greater then for the TMA and the Diff in reality doesn't bring any more valuable information on the table I think that it would be better to stick with the TMA for daily trading.

I still can not understand why these both are so closely correlated and almost in sync.
The Diff is based on the CSS difference of the both currencies that are calculated on the base of 7 other Pairs each...13 Pairs resemble the Diff and the TMAslope that is based only on the current pair shows almost exactly the same results...

I thought that I had a bloop in my programming but I also compared it with Paul's CSSDiff... the calculations and visualizations are correct.

Jemook was the first one who saw the synchronism between the two slopes/histos.

The conclusion for me is that the TMAslope is really a remarkable and powerful Indicator, especially in his current evolution and in combination with the true mode...

The CSS of the Currencies are also strong and good indicators and I will also analyze them in the future but my focus will go back to the TMAslope

I think I will also release a pure TMA-MTF indicator since this will use much less resources than the current combination with the CSSslopes.

What do you think about this?
