I don't know why I got those lot size... 0.01 in the settings....
EDIT : RISK PERCENT = 2

Anyway, nice trades

BTW, I forgot to mention... I added 'long' ago some setting called RecoveryVirtualStop. It's job is for those who like me want to try nanningbob's recovery style.

I explain. Ordinarily, Risk Percent will be used to calculate lot size based on the current stop. The current stop could differ because the bot calculates stops based on pivot lines if no stop is explicitly set.

Now, I want to start recovery (manual entry) at min 100 pips dead, but I want to use a REAL emergency stop at 200 pips. In the usual case of lots from risk percent, I will get lot size calculated from the real stop of 200 pips.

I don't want that and neither do I want a fixed lot size and there is where RecoveryVirtualStop comes in. If set to anything other than zero, it will be the basis used to calc lot size from the Risk Percentage.

You have to set it to zero to use the real stop (either explicit or calculated from pivot lines) as basis for lot size calculation from the Risk Percent. It's your call.

I hope I explained that well enough but futher clarification is available where that came from :)

In other news, we are going to add automajic entry of recovery trades (at least up to some level) for those who love them. The idea is boiling... we will see. Personally, I find recovery trading suits my personality very well and helps me gain experience with less frustration. That I believe is the real philosophy behind nanningbob's recovery.

Kind Regards,

Alex
Alex, I am with you on this one. I love recovery and it will be perfect to have the trades automatically triggered. Thank you for taking up this venture.

Hi Al3xx,
Thank you for focusing again the interest for this pioneer 10.2 EA . I have just noticed that some indy you are suggesting here, were updated since that. For example the WOH (Weekly Open Histogram) was upgraded to version 5.4 then to version 5.8.
I've just noticed some differences in histograms as you could see in the chart joined here. Surely Nanningbob could explain with great detail the differences. As I understood, the last version 5.8 based its comparaison and its drawing on LWMA versus SMA for the previous version.
Honestly I don't want to introduce any confusion in the mind of the followers here, but I'd like just to report that, letting some experienced people here judge if these details are important or just meaningless.

I'm loading v1.1
Ive noticed that in v1.0 BETargetpips/profit=35/5 while in v1.1 is set to 50/10...

I'll set it to 40/5 so everyone is happy (anyway I think it's not that important)

You are welcome. I am having a hectic week and tired evenings when I should get to work on that. I hope to find time in the coming week to complete working on that.

That must be the Al of Extreme TMA. Right? Because incidentally, the recovery I am thinking about involves 'retrofiting' Extreme TMA to do recovery. If they match with pivot line S/R you will have a solid entry. Most of the recovery I suppose we will do at the consolidation periods in between a trend or a trend reversal. In 10.2A, that is where price is between monthly and weekly pivot and daily pivot is aso in between there somewhere. Basically when you don't know if you are coming or going :)

Kind Regards,

Alex

You are right. I guess there was a reason why they were updated. Infact, I have some version 6. something lying around my PC. I plan to update them in due course.

Don't worry. Like Steve, the original creator of the EA used to do, I release the versions with whatever settings I am playing with ATM. Feel free to change them as you wish. You could also possibly make a set file.

Yes, Alex. It´s me. I also keep thinking that Extreme TMA and 10.2 complement each other. I am using both for my trading and I am more successful when one system confirms the signals of the other.
