And here I thought the people of New Zealand spoke English, guess I was wrong.

Reserve Bank Assistant Governor John McDermott said today. The neutral interest rate is the rate that neither stimulates nor restricts the economy when it is growing with no under- or over-utilised resources in aggregate (often referred to as a zero output gap), and inflation is close to the midpoint of the 1 to 3 percent target band. Just one question nanningbob and pgd... about usd/cad.

You have opened long trades there. On 1H chart 240 is below the price... but on 4H the price is below 240 line so according to the rules there should be no long trades... or I'm missing something ?

The same situation is now @ EURAUD.

On 4H there is possible short @ crossing DP or MA60 line.
On 1h there is possible long @ MA60 od DP line

And both orders can be placed around 1.44350 ;)

just throwing this out there... maybe it might intrigue those who like to see something different.
might intrigue Bob if he can codify it into something sensible. :)
if anyone can turn a bagel into a breadstick and chaos into profit$ - its Bob.

5period BB throw onto 7,2,2 sto.
enter chaos.

something real time to look at is NZDUSD. (hindsight is always 20/20 except in real time)
FXCM 4H candle is closing in 2mins ish.
while GlobalPrime with the new adjustment closes in 60+2mins.
above 240line.
but look at the BB interaction with sto7,2,2.
we see how this plays out.

but its got good risk reward. logical support. etc.
DP will be a good TP.

bob,

the 240 apart, would you not consider a long with this scenario (see attached chart)?

the 1.6400 area (highlighted by the magenta line) has been in play over the past several weeks. it was formerly a support; then, an important resistance area during the last 2 weeks. now, it is taken out and we see price retesting it as support again.

we have a rising channel on the H4 timeframe and price has done about 1/2 the journey from the channel bottom to channel top...

would appreciate your comments.

sponn,

when price is between 60 n 240, it is ranging by bob's definition.
so, one may trade in either direction depending on where one sees strength.
for strength, one can refer to the css. however, in this case, the strength inference is readily available on H1 where, as you pointed out, price was above the 60 and 240 both. not only that, 60 was above 240. as you would know, bias change starts from lower timeframes and cycles itself upwards (or downwards) to build higher timeframes. so, above mentioned state on H1, for me, did give a heads up.

hope this helps.
would you agree, bob?

i only recall using suitable MA parameters adapted to the time frame (when switching between), on H1: weekly MA=240, monthly=960, on D1: weekly MA=10, monthly=40

(if i am not wrong)

Hi Bob,

Thanks for Edsel and the time you give. Do you know of any scripts that will kick off a trade once it reaches 20% or 80% of the stock? I'm normally getting some zzzz when some of these trades kick in.

Rob
The TCO Trader EA may do the job. 2 x MA for trend TF, entry TF are adjustable and STO can be used for entry.

Thanks Yamez, much appreciated.

Nothing wrong with your analysis, I was just playing the bounce off of the 240. It went about 25 and then reversed and wasnt good for anything. Took it out at 0
