good question..... I check monthly and D1 chart and see if price is in an up trend or down trend then I will check how many levels we have in the tf am trading[normally one hour and 4hours] if the level on my time frame is two [going up] I will enter for level three. after level three, the trend will change or retraces before moving up again. the problem here is how to count the levels, if you know how to count levels you don't have problems. I will post chart soon.
These are great examples sympathy, thanks. In my opinion it is much easier trading on the higher time frames. In these charts you can clearly see 'M' patterns at the top, which appear all the time across all pairs. I think when learning, as the norm, sticking to the higher frames does not just only give a person much more time to think about placing a trade [rather than rushing into a trade (or ten) on the lower time frames], but at the same, when the move does finally occur, it pays off with a large number of pips.
