I'm really glad you asked that - it is the age old question isn't it? Take profits or let them run!

Actually, I had the EA set to take profit at 10% increase of account balance, but the computer blue screened yesterday and when I re-opened Empty4, I believed it reverted to last saved profile and closed all trades at 2%

Anyway, the EA does what it does and has opened the trades shown below; I will move Empty4 to my VPS on the weekend so should run continuously there.

Other than that, I suggest using a RISK multiple for your take profit, e.g. with my settings, the EA calculates a position size based on Daily ATR 0.5 and a TP 2 x ATR, so R:R of 4 to 1 - so whatever you use as a NB stop loss, multiple that by 2 or 3 or 4.

In one of the earlier 10.xxx series we used the CSS numbers to determine if price would run or not. For example as long as the number was bigger than 8.0 it was going to keep running and you let it run until it got back inside 4. Dont know if that would work with your EA but that was one determining factor in deciding to take profit or run. To me the best place to decide to let price run is using the daily or weekly charts. Everything else has too much noise to determine those factors.

Sorry, not right now as I'm running it on old demo account which may expire soon, or I suppose I could get new one on weekend while on VPS, see how I feel.

Just had a hard drive crash so still catching up on a lot of things other than trading.

And sometimes I change my trade entry parameters based on what I read here or elsewhere, so that would affect the overall results which doesn't give a fair or logical representation of either NB method or the use of TCO Trader EA.

Probably best thing is to run a copy yourself, not hard to do, quite fun actually to watch the trades, balance going up & down during the various daily sessions, and all with no need to panic

i get a lot of problems with my Empty4 platforms not responding the revolving circle syndrom, the comp is clean, did a malware sacan all ok, any ideas, cheers
