hi Bob

the EUR & CHF on the H4 CSS has formed a trough and started angling up
while on the Daily CSS it's still angling down

does this mean its rate of weakening has decelerated and therefore may begin to strengthen soon?

this means that any short positions on EUR & CHF needs to be taken with extra caution from now on?

Thank you for your thoughts as always! :)

I do not trade the eur/chf because the chf is tied itself to the euro. In other words I dont think it moves enough to be worth my time. Sooooooooooo no comment. :)

oh sorry I wasn't clear, I don't mean eur/chf pair

I meant eur (and also the CHF) is starting to angle up on H4 whereas on the daily it's still angling down.

it has been quite straightforward thus far cos it has been angling down both on H4 & daily.
we sell the eur pairs and the pips come in

i'm curious how a currency will tend to behave when it begins to angle up on H4 while it's still angling down on daily

Thanks! :)

I risk only 2% of equity for each trade
Be careful, I would say that 2% per trade is a lot for this system. Are you calculating it in base of the 240?

I found that I just have to save it as a template, then I can just load it up :)

Hi All, the market seems to be really slow today, waiting for USD news I suppose?

Anyway, it seems to me that the angle of the CSS is more what we are interested in, as opposed to where the CSS finds itself? (i.e. is the CSS angling up or down in relation to another currency first and foremost, and then where it finds itself being above or below the 0 line?)

Then after that, are currencies crossing etc etc?

Which item do we give more weight to then?

I get the feeling that I first and foremost I need to learn to read the CSS properly, it makes perfect sense when Bob explains it, but when I look at it all I see is pretty colours

Thanks

I used to get that feeling during Maths lessons in school. The stuff made perfect sense whilst the teacher was explaining it. The instant he stopped, my brain turned to mush and the topic no sense whatsoever. :xm:

Will try to hang on in anticipation of bond purchases by BOJ in the coming days.

Hope none of you are caught in my predicament.
Depends on your lot size to account size. If it is small enough it poses no problem. I just load up on pending buys (jpy sells) and wait. When it changes direction its bang bang bang all the way up. The usd/jpy dropped 88 pips and you think you are in trouble then your lot size to account size is all wrong. Me it just lets me set up some more future trades and when it reverses oh boy. :yahoo: I have all month to sit on these things.
Thank you Bob for your comments. I risk only 2% of equity for each trade, and should be able to see me through any earthquakes or tornadoes.

Would be holding all my yen shorts till after the middle of the month.
Didn't have to wait long for the yen to turn around.

All the yen shorts are now in the black. The moral of the story is "trade small lots".

Dude, you are on 4H CSS, does that work for you?

I notice that Bob is using 1D, I suppose it is personal preference?

However, if one is going to be checking the markets every 4 hour candle, and setting pendings accordingly, I suppose using the 4H CSS could have merit, but what about noise? :arrrg:

If you have read my earlier post, I only trade H4 and find it suits me fine.

The lower the time frame, the more problem with market noise, but H4 is fine.
