I just think now is a good time to switch it on if you want a chance at minimal DD as the basket pairs are near their pivots/opposite 1H TMA. I have mine set to adaptive TP +50 and adaptive SL -50, with 8 pairs traded I'm looking at 400 pips win or loss. might happen today or tomorrow but it feels like now is the right time to enter.

Another thing to look for if you want to know when is a good time to enter is when the basket pairs start hitting the 4H 5.1 MA (which is an entry in itself on 10.2).. If you get a couple of these lined up should be golden.

I'm up 40 pips so far but don't want to jinx it :)

Aha!!!

Steve, when you backed out the original Shelley code, you made a slight oopsie:

You changed

Code: Select all

string         TradePair[][4];
to

Code: Select all

string         TradePair[][2];
...because you just reference 0, 1, and 2, right? But that means it needs to be [3], not [2] .......

It resulted in some really bizarre behavior. Whenever you changed one of the [2] values, they ALL changed at once.

I went ahead and uploaded a fixed V1b to post 1.

*whew*. That was really bugging me. :D
How strange. I knew it had to be something as simple as that but never considered the solution you found. Thanks.

Again, I don't care if there is a London open today. I'm just letting whoever has their EA set to go off at London open time (7 minutes ago) know that they should go well.

I don't trade Shelley with London open. I set Shelley off when my setup looks right:

1. Price of basket pairs at opposite TMA band on 1hr
2. Price of basket pairs near weekly pivot
3. Basket pairs are starting to hit 4h 5.1 MA

Up 200 pips now.

Bob's system is all about letting us know which pairs are heavily trending. It's up to us to choose when to get back in on the trend. From my experience with 10.2 the BEST time to re-enter a trending pair is when the 4H 5.1 MA gets hit (this setup is in the manual).

With Shelley we are seeing it work really well on certain days and not so well on others. I believe that if you can see some/most of the basket pairs hitting their 4H 5.1 MA then it's time to trigger Shelley.

This will also more than likely have your basket pairs at the opposite 1 HR TMA too and probably near the weekly pivots/support/resistance.

I'm still fine-tuning my entries (i entered a bit early this week for instance) but I'm getting better at knowing what to look for before triggering Shelley.

I think it is a good to idea to have a dashboard for all pairs displaying previous 6 days TMA slope value so we can see the change of the slope or the trend. anyone can help?
