Re: 10.3 SCALPER/RANGE TRADE SYSTEM
To the person who asked about the eur/nzd trade it is at its monthly pivot. It keeps bouncing off of it south so you can hang in there or put a 5.1 sell ea and play the break. I would use it on the daily chart or place your sell order now and see if it goes back south and you can get out in 100-150 pips for a BE or small profit.

@ Phil. Thanks for the earlier hedge info's response. Much appreciated.
I will run it on the side on demo to get the gist of it.
Cheers

bad day today but still an acceptable week. 26 wins 13 losses for total of 244 pips. Time for bed. I will increase lot size again next week as I get more and more comfortable with the system.

Hey Bobnanningbob wrote:You know what I would like 0 Spreads and a fixed monthly fee. Now that would be a criminal.
I was just reading through the 10.3 Forum Pages and saw this comment from you about a Broker with a fixed monthly fee...well there is a Broker that offers just that, its called TheCollectiveFXGlobal:
https://www.thecollectivefxglobal.com/global-home
I've been using their demo account and no complaints so far..I'm not sure they accept US based clients though..

It seems they hope to be able to take us at some point. They have an option for US customers and it goes to a page saying:theforexedge wrote:Hey Bobnanningbob wrote:You know what I would like 0 Spreads and a fixed monthly fee. Now that would be a criminal.

Anyone know the formulas to calculate my own values for Fib Level 4 and 5, as well as how to determine the S/R levels for 1-5?
Phil
The formulas are:
Code: Select all
R = Adr;
R1 = DO + (R * 0.382);
S1 = DO - (R * 0.382);
R2 = DO + (R * 0.618);
S2 = DO - (R * 0.618);
R3 = DO + (R * 0.82);
S3 = DO - (R * 0.82);George

Thanks for the fast reply George.
So S/R levels have fib ratios in the formula. And DO is the base level used for calculations. I don't understand why there are differences between the S/R1 levels, S/R 2 levels etc. The formula can quite properly give support levels that have different spaces between themselves and the DO than resistance levels do?
And Babalu4u's 10.3a DFib.DP 11.19 indy shown in that chart is using Fib ratios too, which I had understood to be using Daily Pivot as the base; though maybe not, now looking at the chart more closely. The Fib levels look symmetrical, but not consistently anchored to either the DO or DP that I can see.
Fib Level 3 is normally what I use to CT trade from with the 10.3. Yesterday, the Fib Level 3 in the chart got blown out of the water, and I am looking to extend the values for Level's 4 and 5 ...seeking any patterns that could be useful.
These are not volatile times; and when they do return, I want to be using sustainable S/R and Fib levels to CT trade from.
Phil
You might want to take a look at the THV Pivot indi attached. Very configurable. You can show daily pivots or Fib pivots or both. It'll show fib pivots out to level 5
Cheers
