Hi,

It's not possible to have a set and forget EA, you will need to monitor the EA's trades, you will need to
monitor the charts of trades taken, if the EA has opened a trade and price is heading towards some R/S
level, the trader will have to decide to close the trade or let it run.

Thanks Andy, understood. I take it that 's why the chart button are there? But as far as the functionality of the EA is there anything more one has to do after placing the EA on the chart? (other than monitor open trades)

Both trades were developing well - see pic - and then there was a message 'Order EURCHF closed by BE function'. Both trades were closed with nearly zero profit.

I analyzed this in source code and found the following:

        calculateBE(CurrentPair);
        closeBETrades(CurrentPair);
    }

If conditions are TRUE calculateBE will be executed, while closeBETrades does not refer to that (no variable to take the return value of calculateBE). Also in calculateBE there are no global variables modified which possibly could affect further trading decisions.

So IMO: either we do not need calculateBE at this point or there's possibly a missing link i.e. a variable to connect it to closeBETrades. Am I right, am I wrong? :

Why should I set useAverageBE = true (the default value) anyway? Maybe I should place this particular question in the dummies' thread ...

Sounds Great Andy,
the "pairs to add" plus all other features really help --- just to expand on this many trend traders like myself use TLs and spend an hour or so in closed period at weekend planning what is coming up - these features you add allow EOD traders like myself to trade an EA at a lower TF than D1 i.e. H4 safely keeping ontop of the trades in the evening and eliminating trades that look marginal and would conflict with own personal view e.g. conflict with TLs, major historical support resistance or big number support... while keeping true to 10.4 wrt Selection - Entry and Trade Management. Outstanding.

One thing I would add to this having seen several issues and discussions around recent NFP and obviously not watching EA every hour is to include a "keep your shirt" (a Steve phrase) feature such as close all open and or switch off if account DD >x%.
I understand the risk is the %R defined in external var. multiplied by the number of open trades.
For example, I use equity sentry running on my system behind this EA protecting at 5%.. if something nasty happens. Maybe this is a bit crude and you have better ideas for protecting account for ultimate DD?

Last point what are the pros and cons for putting the TMA slope value for each currency pair onto the dashboard for one all incompassing dash?
