It looks like a sellstop was placed when the RSI line was totally oversold at the bottom, where I would have prepared for a buystop. The position was closed with profit in a basket, but would not have done well if traded independently.

I find it very difficult to follow how pending orders are being placed, there are many and once triggered into open positions, you can't easily see in the statement anymore when pending orders were placed, unless you dig through hundreds of lines in the log files.

How does the EA handle pending orders at the moment - when a basket is closed, will it close previously placed pending orders of those pairs? Is there any active scaling in going on when we reach BE, or is this not included?

Great work Andy, I can't wait to try the latest version.

Today I had another reason for either manual or scripted buy/sell override:

I saw the pending order for buy EURCAD and then checked currency slope strength on D1 and a version that I have tweaked for H1, both were showing CAD stronger than Euro at the time of entry, the order was triggered and went to the stop loss and after that CAD lost it's strength, and at the time of writing this: CAD on H1 is reading -0.38 and the Euro is at -0.10, so a bigger stop loss or delayed entry would have worked well.

I think the Fox likes to tease us by spiking our pending orders and the reversing direction :(
but perhaps we can use CSS on H1 to catch him at his tricks :D

Hello Brian,

I've added the MA must be higher than shift 1 for a long or lower than shift 1 for a short, I've been testing
since my return and things are looking good, I know the week before was a disaster but
we don't get the news events like we did that week.

Let's see how next week goes.

Last week I ran 2 demo's on Pepper$tone.

The OOTB lost about 3% over the week and the one where I used a tighter exit made a profit of just over 7%.

Lot's of potential!

I'll be first trying to optimize the settings for higher profits, after that I plan to look at making the stop loss system a bit more tight without losing the ability for the trade to have room to become profitable.

Looking forward to next week :)

My reference to slope - was not precise enough I meant slopestrength TMA D1 baluda 6.2 slope strength v1.0.

I had a problem with Empty4 freezing with just this EA on axitrader with VPS platform yesterday I had about 12 charts open anyway it caused me a brown trouser moment since the market was going the wrong way but I resolved it by following a protocol I found that cleans up a number of Empty4 directories thought I would share as a number of this EA followers have concerns on sluggish behaviour plus the excellent way of opening charts using the button on dash (joy to use) can lead to 10..15 or 20 charts open - I posted under Empty4 avoiding crashes

Are you sure of this? From what I've read it seems they'll only block the MT4i hacks that brokers were making part of the Empty4 installation, not DLLs across the board. I'll try the new version on an updated Cowboy IBFX demo next week and see if there's buttons visible. If DLLs in EAs/Indicators are blocked there'll be hell to pay, as most commercial EAs are distributed in DLL form.

If that's what they do then yes that'll happen for sure. Its just that I'm not yet convinced that that is what they're doing. What MT4i offered was more than a DLL attached to EAs/Indicators, it was some kind of hack to Empty4 itself to make it more customisable & user friendly, and Metaquotes decided they weren't going to stand for it.

DLLs with EAs/Indis use Empty4's own published API, so there's nothing untoward about it which is why I'd be unbelievably surprised if they blanket banned the use of them. They'd be destroying their customer base. Anyway, we'll find out soon enough!
