In fact, I would be happy to settle for a gain of 2 to 3 % for the day.

Whether the gains will be consistent or not, only time will tell.

I would more than settle for 2-3%/day :)

My swingOne OOTB when run on many pairs hasn't been doing so well. Haven't looked carefully yet; focusing on the code so far... Are you running with the default settings Peter, and which pairs/TF?

Hopefully the new version will be coming in soon. I have been reorganising the code a bit so there will be some bugs initially - however they should make the code more manageable for the future. Please do not run on live accounts however.

Nice to hear from you again. No doubt you must have been busy reorganising the code as you said. It is rather strange everyone else are not getting the same results as I am getting. Perhaps it is to do with different criminal feeds.

As I posted earlier, criminal is FXDD, GMT+2, H4 TF, on GU, EU, AU, GJ, EJ, AJ, USDCHF, NU, EURAUD.
I removed NJ from the chart on Monday because of high spread from the criminal. Settings OOTB with Hanover D1 slope confirmation candles 2.

The up to date demo account statement is attached below along a pic of the equity graph. This may stir up more interest from other members of the forum.

Thank you very much for all your hard work and looking forward to the new version.

P.S. I just started the Donefortheday EA yesterday to close all trades if 4% of equity profit target reached.

Nice curve indeed :)

Have been silent in the forums for a while - mostly due to family commitments. The two little ones have been taking most of my time home; and have been spending the rest of my time reorganising the code. No major functional changes apart from the ones Khalid listed above, and the AA filter as you have asked along with the normal options from Steve's shell will be included.

However the new structure should make it simpler to take in new fixes/features from the shell EA and other EAs based on it. Also will commit the changes into an online source control system (bitbucket) so I and anyone interested can properly keep track of changes and see differences across versions. Alright I admit the real reason for the change is if it ain't broke try until it is :)

Trying to complete it tonight - fingers crossed.

Thank you for repeating the settings - you did mention them earlier. Wasn't thinking, my apologies... I think the Hanover filter might be the primary reason for better results. I am also running on H4; and do not see much difference across different pairs.

Nice family man, getting your priorities right !

I suspect the different criminal feeds is the most likely source of discrepancy in our results, as I noticed that your Graeme demo is -7.4% whereas mine is +9.9%, again FXDD platform on another laptop, again OOTB RSI like everyone else. It remained 9.9% today because I closed all trades manually when it exceeded the daily target of 4%. It was very prone to whittle away all its gains and more if left to its own devices. I have installed the Donefortheday EA for it as well to lock in the profits.

Anyway, let's not take up too much of your precious time.

Looking through the demo account statement I posted earlier, I spotted several instances of either no SL being set or wrong SL being executed on closed trades. This was using version 1.9.5. SL was set at default 38.

I have now changed to version 1.9.9 and will report again if the same problem persists.

Despite the high volatility on NFP day yesterday, the bot manages to hang on to most of its profits for the week. Presently, the demo account is up 13%.

Will post the results again in a week or two. Let us hope the gains continue.

Chances are this will still occur in 1.9.9. In my testing when I had quite a few charts open at the same time I have noticed something quite bad occurred intermittently, which I think may be due to a Empty4 bug.

The issue is:
More than one instance of the EA tries to send an order at around the same time e.g. EU and GU try to send an order simultaneously. Very rarely I have seen the ticket number returned to the EU EA is a GU position and vice versa. Then, since this is an ECN crim the EU EA sends the SL and TP for EU to the GU trade; hence the incorrect SL and TPs.

I have added an alert where I check the currency pair of the ticket and if it doesn't match the chart currency an alert is raised. I have observed my Empty4 do this for a while and then get into a correct state afterwards. I looked into this carefully and do not think this is a bug in the EA code itself; but rather in Empty4. It likely unlocks the trading thread at a point where it is not yet safe and so overwrites some shared resource and returns an incorrect ticket.

Since this seemed to occur when I was running the EA in M1 charts for testing only, I think the likelihood of this occurring on H1/H4 should be slim. Regardless anything that can happen will happen.

I have incorporated Mike's "lock trading thread" functions into the next version of the EA so we can do the locking in the EA itself and therefore resolve this issue.

What you have observed may be the same issue if you are using an ECN crim. Can you please confirm? Also do you see any error messages in the experts log that says the returned ticket is not correct?
