In the interest of saving time, let's do a little more analysis.

Do you want to measure profit based on money, pips or percent increase?

Do you want to measure across all pairs, across all pairs with matching magic numbers, or just current pair/magic number combination.

Do you want it to close all open trades when the increase is achieved, or to just stop once a trade closes that puts it over the threshold.

If you want more than one combination of the above, what is the priority?

Personally, I think I'd want to measure pips or dollars (since you can convert one to the other so you really get both by programming one of them) for a single magic number. That way, if I wanted all my 5 minute TFs to function as a unit I'd give them all the same Magic Number, but I could do a separate one for each currency on the 1 minute TF.

Oh, and I'd probably want to close all trades in the group when I hit my target.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Would it be possible to add a user defined code to stop trading for the day at a specified profit level? The 1 minute scalper mode for this bot could use this IMO.

I would like to have the option of choosing either $ or percentage. I also think an option of magic number (0 for no number) would be ideal.

GU, 5 wins 2 loss
AU, 2 wins 1 loss 2 open orders, one of which didn't close and went 120 pips negative?

This is the statement for my original jiva.....the first one posted with the BB indi......The top statement is from the latest jiva using the AA indi......Both are off to a pretty good start.......I'm going to keep following them and see if we can get a good test of these two indi's.....
Both bots are on the same platforms (FXOpen 4-digit), same pairs and MPTM (BE,BEP,TS)

So I've been using the original BBstop trader with no problem. Less options, less headaches. But now, I'm trying to set up version 2 of it with the fast and slow BB. It opened an order on the slow BB but not on any of the following fast BBs in the same direction. Now heres my question: Does the first Slow BB order have to remain open for those orders to activate? My first Slow BB order closed in profit before a fast BB signal in the same direction appeared. (AA is off, hidden pips has a value)

Couple of suggestions.

1.) An option to NOT close on an opposite signal
2.) If the above is true, pertaining to my question, I think Fast BB signals should still open in the direction of the slow BB.

Hehe. Not really; kind sentiment though.

I counsel against changing what is clearly a winning system. Closing on an opposite direction signal is a part of that system; not closing on an opposite is effectively saying, "The market has changed direction, but I am going to fight it."

As to point 2), it seems to me that jjiva and Khalid are at one with this strategy; I suggest we wait and see what they say about this.

The fast BBand should only trade in the direction of the slow BBand, and ideally only if a slow BBand position is already open.

Steve updates the bots when he makes any changes and posts the new version on the title page.
I like to keep track by assigning version numbers.
