Upcoming Empty4 4 and MQL4 Upgrades

I would be curious to know how much business has dropped off for Empty4 brokers after rolling out the new build on live accounts. I don't know about others, but nothing seems that intuitive in the new build and I would say over half of the files I regularly use do not work as they used to. And some case they appear to work normally until something weird and unexpected happens. Seems foolish to run anything live. Even the file structure is ridonkulous to navigate. Maybe I am just thick headed. I bet the brokers are not having these kind of issues on their end of this.

Yea I worry about my live account too ...it seems buggy and unresponsive on the vps.Seems they have become the Mc Donalds of the trading space to go with your Facebook ..its a massive opportunity for somebody to come riding in on their shiny new platform and clean up..Brokers are the key though and I suppose they are happy with the relationship they have with Empty4.Its very difficult for an alternative platform to get a foot in the door.However Metaquotes seem to have left the door slightly ajar this time..

In terms of client requests about this new build most just want to know about the new directory structure. I point them in the direction of this page and they are good to go after. It's the guys running EA's that need re-coding or anything with DLLs that are having further issues.

After two days works finding what was wrong....

in Empty4 509 I've used :

first "0" means Symbol, last "0" current bar.

in V600 : that make as result : 0 !!!!

the good way for V600 is now:

I've Used to write date on disks'files.
to get the location it was something like that : string filename="\\mymemo\\"+"xx"+".csv"
now it is : string filename="mymemo\\"+"xx"+".csv"
and that wil go in c:\program(x86)\metaquote\MQL4\File\mymemo\xx.csv
or directly string filename="xx"+".csv" if you want the file goes directly in MQL4\File\*.*

I was skeptical till I went to the metaquotes fórum and see that the versión 606 has been released.

Another quotation at metaquotes forum:

Hey thanks for that Jem, It's the closest I've gotten to getting straightened out. Oanda pushed me build 600 SO FAR, that's the place where all my 10.6 indis are working the best.

Axitrader and Citi 610. Think it was 604 on Saturday.

Of course Citi has the extra aggravation of suffixes on the pairs. Thanks again, Live long and prosper

BTW what, may I ask, is comgrap? Googled it but didn't seem to have come up with anything connected with forex.

Frustrated by MetaCrapEditor:
Had a go at hacking SciTe to use the new v600 compiler.
Seems to be working now, although I had some issues with subdirectories and I couldn't find out how get the default:

to work.

NOTE: if there are significant differences to the language rules they won't be reflected in the editor which uses the pre-600 language definitions.

This is the test file that worked after fiddling with the configuration files:

It seems that some of you have found incompaibilities between 500 and 600 when running 500+ builds on v600.
I am running the latest SB (built with the 509 compiler) on a GP Demo v600 - it hasn't crashed and as far as I can tell it seems to be working normally, although something subtle might not manifest immediately.

This is just a temporary work around until I have time to experiment with the Protrader 3 - Empty4 bridge (which probably nolonger works either???)
