You might want to check the trading pairs list BTW Gertje - EURCHF is there but I made other changes too - no GBPAUD for example.

Sorry,

Should have said "Always on" EA.
There is a loop inside the EA, it monitors the pairs wether there is a tick or not.
This is also the reason "F7" freezes the platform when trying to change inputs.

Ah - yes - I forgot about that. Was thinking of the every tick mode but having read its function again I was misinterpreting it.

I am a at a bit of a loss to see how much clearer I can make "you MUST drag SBB onto a chart you do not intend to trade for this to work. Mine is on XAUUSD." Short sentences; only 1 two syllable word.

Guys, I believe I might occasionally have mentioned in the past that I take a great deal of care over the information I put into my post 1? That I absolutely loathe and detest doing so? That it bores me rigid? That I would infinitely prefer to let you work stuff out for yourselves?

I am sure I must have mentioned this at some stage in the past. Also that it is a waste of time if people don't read it with a modicum of care?

Don't expect SBB to work unless you have read how to make him work. He ain't an EA for Dummies.

Funny thing is, it worked until this morning op EURGBP.

I must say I do read your post1 thouroughly, but sometimes fail to look back for trouble shooting...

Steve,

I have attached a chart below showing a couple of trades SBB(1f) took today on the GBPJPY 5 min. All settings are OOTB.

He took 2 with-trend sell signals in the space of 3 bars, but the market quickly moved higher and above the 240. Because the trend had changed, the 3 opposite Buy signals that came in were now also with-trend so they did not close the trades. Luckily the market dipped back below the 240 & I got a CT buy signal to close both trades for a small loss.

My point is, that if the market had continued higher without dipping below the 240, any buy signal to close the trades would be ignored until the Stop loss was hit. I am only demoing on 5 min to generate trade more frequently while I get used to SBB, but I assume the same behaviour would occur on higher TFs.

I can see the bot is working as programmed, but I just thought I'd put it out there to see what you thought.

The bot is programmed to close buy trades on any sell signal and vice versa. Not sure if the coding is faulty or if something was wrong on your platform at the time. The decision to close is based on the trade comment and is independent of the moving average. We will have to see if there are problems with the code.

I am trying to set SBB up as a 'always in' trader similar to the idea you had with 'SB SometimeTrendy, SometimesNot'.

I attached the set file, but in essence I have made the following changes:

TradeTheCounterTrend=true
PairsToTrade=AUDUSD,EURJPY,EURUSD,GBPJPY,GBPUSD,USDCAD,USDCHF
MaxTradesPerPair=2
AtrMinimumForTrading=0
MaPeriod=0
UseZeljko=false
OnlyTradeCurrencyTwice=false

I have attached the GJ chart which shows that it only traded on the CT signals and missed a Trend signal.
I do however have Trend orders on other pairs

It maybe the TREND BUY signal is not working
