Thanks for the interest. Let me be a bit more discriptive on Long HGI signal example attached. With 30 pips grid when 1st oposite Sell Open is executed we have 60 pips gap to recover between 1 st Buy Stop and 1st Sell Stop. If trade reach 2nd Sell Stop, then there is 90 pips. What I recommend is to lower a gap to 30 pips by opening Buy Stop 4 when 1st Sell Stop is trigerred 30 pips above this level followed by Buy Stop 5 and Buy Stop 6 when Sell Stop 5 and 6 are reached. Thus, in worst case, there will be 3 open Sell Trades and 6 Buy Stops in HGI direction 30 pips up from last opened Sell position.

Does it make any sense?

Basically you want the HGI to buy at the market price when you get buy signal and sell vise versa as well. I understand, but remember that buy can turn into sell and the gap is designed to protects us from that and takes opposite position. Which in long term will give you a small losses and larger gains.

If you're willing to risk that aspect of the ea and test it manually and convince Steve to add another variable that perhaps will give you the ability to turn on at buy/sell at market price. All the power to you.

Did you test this idea manually? do you feel this happens more than 50% of the time a trade is triggered?

Just a quick question... When you trade manually, then you have open positions grid signaled by a trend arrow or blue wavy, do you close when you see a yellow wavy?

Last month I was testing the HGI big trend arrows green to red. This month I'm testing the waves and it's blue to blue. I think the arrows give more accurate signals but the waves give more profit per signal.

Noticed some odd behaviour on this trade. Maybe it was my bad timing to start the ea...

I'll keep an eye on it to see if it does it again. Closed it manually still made $20 overall from other wins

Have you done a chart refresh to see if those signals remained in place?

I think my system may have halted. Had to restart the system. The two waves circled stuck around. Top should have closed it but I think my system here hung caused Empty4 to really show down...

Maybe a fault with your system, but it is worth remembering that we are battling Empty4 here. We need to check that our EA's are still working from time to time.

I do not include broker/local time displays at the top of my chart displays because I think that members lack clocks. I include them so that members can check that their EA is still running. If your chart time display is not changing, then the EA is not working. The EA cannot tell you that it is not working because it is not working.The broker/local thingy is merely in case members need to know the difference.

Empty4 will not tell you that it has frozen an EA, or that it has deleted it, or has shut down the chart it was loaded on. It will simply do this. The more pairs we run on our charts, the more this will happen. This behaviour is well documented here at SHF.

Always remember folks: Empty4 is shit-wanker-bollocks-crap. We are not just battling the markets here; we are also battling the Cretins from Crapperquotes.

Thanks for this info, I think you're right. Just noticed the clock being stopped for 14 mins. Restarted the Empty4 and it was rolling again...
