Were they different versions of Awesome? Ferox has additional lines?
Emm....yes.... 3 posts up Ferox mentions:
Sure. Here is the 1M4H setfile that has been running on Awesome 1c. I will start a new instance with the latest Awesome version. Lets see if it works as well.
BTW When comparing headline numbers realize that you need to do some number crunching to get an apple to apple comparison:
- start date was a months earlier. When set to the same 2nd Sept start-date the gain is about 28%
- slight difference in selected crosses
- account was only $1000 ... so divide headline gain by 10 to compare to the others
- no commissions were taken into account for the 10 lots traded since 2nd Sept
I think the corrections above result in an about 2% gain for the Forex set (as straight comparison to the others).

For me the worrying number for the 1M4H set is the low 4 pip per trade expectancy. A little bit of slippage and trading costs will make you lose your wins.

The expectancy per trade of
- 15 pips for H4PeakHiLo
- 12 pips for MTF(M15+H1+H4)TP25
look much better to me.

The numbers for H1SymbolBasker5 also require some added thinking IMO. Irritatingly MyFxBook still uses the Balance instead of Equity for all calculations. With the big negative open position in the H1SB5 you almost have to halve all numbers (like Gain, ProfitFactor and expectancy) reported by MyFxBook.
Still nice numbers but IMO not as good as the 2 above.

Edit: see addition in next post about H4PeakHiLo running suddenly at .1 lots instead of 0.01

Was looking more closely at H4PeakHiLo and saw that FXBook reports that since 29th September it is taking 0.1 lot trades instead of 0.01 lots.
This makes the comparison with e.g. MTF a bit complicated.
When analyzing the periods before and after 29th September separately:
Before 29th -- 1.96 % monthly gain
After 29th ---- 1.40 % monthly gain and that with 10 times bigger lots

I am confused

Well spotted. This demo account was transferred from Spyderman to 1Direction for October as Spyderman was unable to continue hosting. Somehow the lot size must have got changed during that handover as the set file was reloaded.

Not much of an issue though.. so if 1Direction reads this no need to take any action just let it continue. It's easy enough to divide by 10 and actually the drawdown is so low with this set file anyway I'm sure the account will handle it and will be interesting to see.

BTW Just noticed that compared to the others H4PeakHiLo730 apparently does not have USDCAD and GBPJPY.

If you remove these from MTF then monthly gain would drop 30% so there they are major contributors.
Of course we don't know what PeakHiLo would have done with these crosses, but good chance that PeakHiLo is being underestimated at the moment.
And PeakHiLo is already such a performer. :cheer:

Thanks for the wealth of information provided by these tests. Can't wait to start testing variations myself.
Just getting back into Forex after year of abstinence. My old platform still had R&R and Dotty. A lot changed..

"Basket cash take profit" and "symbol Basket cash take profit" should be 50 instead of 5 for 0.1 lot and everything will be back to normal.. :)

The H4PeakHiLo730 setfile does include GBPJPY and USDCAD, but I don't see any trades on those pairs, strange.

My fault, I should have stated it more correctly as you did. I blindly assumed that the set-file had been amended as I considered it unlikely that no GBPJPY or USDCAD would have been triggered in the last 5 weeks.
Rule one :geek: : One should not jump to conclusions.

Looking at the set-file I see that in H4PeakHiLo730 MaxPairsAllowed=10 (compared to 50 for the MTF).
Maybe the 10 allocation was filled before any GBPJPY or USDCAD were triggered.

I checked the set file and it is set at 0.01 Trade1LotsPerDollopOfCash=0.01 with trade1SizeOfDollop=10000 and trade1UseEquity=true running on version 1g

To my understanding it should trade at 0.01 and not 0.1, broker is TradersWay not GP

Thanks, maybe just try putting 0 for lotsoerdollop and Tradelotsperdollop. That should force 0.01 and then it's back to normal.
