Hi All!
This thread might seem a bit silent, but I think that a lot of evaluation is going on, so later this summer I assume we will have plenty of results to share.

Very short status from me.
I currently run 30+ settings on 4 different MADDY setups giving me 120+ combinations.
This will take a while to evaluate, also taking into consideration the Brexit chaos last week.
But 1Hour stochs still seem to doing good over time.
And then I am very curious over my CSS additions but as I still have less than a week of history I will need to come back later. But it is looking good. :)

I am using the Hgi 1 hour setting on my live account with the Maddy dashboard set below:
Maddy v 1.7 Dashboard Dynamite weekly.set
Mad Trader Hgi 1 hour settings:
Mad Trader 1 hour Hgi.set
To all the guys Pm'ing me:
Please take note that my results are not necessarily indicative of your results and you really need to understand your Ea properly to get the same results as me. This is a very conservative approach and the only reason why I have gone live on this.. I have had numerous requests on live trading sets and thus far the best one for me..

Hi,

I tried to test your settings, but couldnt load MadTrader from Post #1. Tried to compile it and got 3 errors. Fix for this was:

1. Used hgi_lib.mqh from this post: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... rt#p142540

2. Changed line 48 and 50 in MadTrader to this:

Hi Guys

Have not shared here for a while...

Reason simple...and as Steve says unless you have something useful to add then don't add at all ;)

Just from a few pm's I received.. what money management do you use? well...my favorite is MPTM set at b/even after 25 pips and locked in at 5 pips and a jump stop of 15 or 25 pips with a s/loss of 150 pips for now.

Here's the thing....you need to play with your maddy dashboard because different settings will produce different results...I can look at my Maddy dash board weekly settings for example which means that I am looking at a longer look back period and this could simply kill you with draw down in ranging markets unless you want to sit it out and wait for the trade to come in but with a bigger s/loss.....simply has not been good of late and the markets have simply messed around with up and down movements...no trending conditions.

You could also go for a short look back period and I do believe this has been more successful for me lately with getting in and out,,,take what the market gives..so therefore I would go with the same setting but exclude the weekly t/frame and use just up to daily with a short look back of 240 to 800 minutes..we need to be flexible.

I do believe that mad traders will smile again in the last half of this year when we really start seeing trending conditions again..

Hi Guys,

My results seem to have stabilized a bit since I have shortened my look back period to 800 minutes. What is encouraging to see is my d/down at 2.7 percent and gain of 4.2% since the 27 of June.

This all on my weekly set that I posted above on the maddy dashboard indicator v1.7, with the only difference being that I changed the weekly t/frame back to 5 minutes i.o.w I am not using the weekly time frame anymore.

Gbpaud has not been a happy hunting ground for mad trader with HGI 1 hour still my best performer.

I am certain that Mad trader will take off again when we see nice trending conditions.. :)

What I like is the fact that few trades are opened daily and when they do, profit is seen fairly quickly....Trading is a marathon and not a sprint :smile:

Hey guys, sorry for the recent inactivity on my end. Life got in the way :jump:
I have let the exhaustion-setup instance of MADTrader go for a while now.

Do not be saddened though; failed experiments also are still of value of course as they tell us what not to do!

The results suggest that using exhaustion on the ultra fast 1/1 cross-over momentum scenario is not to be recommended. They should however be more effective on more classic fast/slow MA cross-overs. Will have to give this more thought.
