Yes indeed. BASA just closed the EURAUD stacked trades, so now 213 pips banked, +137 floating. :D

that's excellent...my euraud is still open, currently approx +100, however the 2nd half of my nzdusd closed. I'm not stacking on my live account.

A couple of you PM'd me so here is my set file:-

I'm using 2p which is the latest version and there are only a few changes to the OOTB parameters. I'm running on Global Prime demo, H1 charts and my local time is GMT+2.

14 Pairs used - AUDJPY, AUDNZD, AUDUSD, EURAUD, EURGBP, EURJPY, EURUSD, GBPCHF, GBPJPY, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, USDJPY.

For Steve:-

Dave (spotdespot) proposed the trade closure thingy when the entry bar and the subsequent H4 bar went against the trade:-

"I believe you should save significant pips if you introduce a rule whereby the trade should close if (for a sell) the H4 entry candle closes higher than the entry (open) price AND the following candle also closes higher than its open price (and vice-verse for buys)."

The idea's sound and the code does what it should but (I think) applies to the current timeframe only, so those of us trading H1 can get stopped out too quickly by normal market oscillations. During quiet sessions a couple of tiny H1 dojis could cause closure of otherwise profitable trades.

What do you think, is it as you intended and have I got it totally wrong?

I certainly didn't ever test this on an H1 timeframe Steve (swg123 Steve :) ) as no-one was using it on H1 then.

It is as I intended. Whether it is correct is another matter. I am open to suggestions.

Another good day for BASA 4H...I've now increased my account by just over 2% so far this week.

Results so far include 2 losses (both stopped at 2nd candle), and I still have 4 trades open, all with half lots closed.

USDCAD - floating +128 pips (SL @ +80)
AUDCAD - floating +31 pips (SL @ BE+2)
AUDUSD - floating +75 pips (SL @ +40)
NZDUSD - floating +45 pips (SL @ BE +2)

On balance I'd say leave it alone, it can work for you as well as against, so probably evens out in the end. This is NZDUSD this morning. On Oanda the short trade closed after the second blue candle for a small loss, re-entered at a better level and is now in profit and on the way to recovering the earlier loss:-

On Global Prime charts the second candle was red (and some people wonder why different brokers give different results!) so the trade stayed open and went 40 pips into DD. It's now coming back, but by the time it reaches BE the Oanda trade will be well into overall profit. So ... swings and roundabouts.
