except for gbp/chf and gbp/cad the gbp has broken the 240 line. Maybe time for some DT time. Asian currencies up and everyone else down. Interesting scenario. |

Hi there! I'm new here and so far its been eye-opening! A bit about me, just to get the introductions out of the way. I'm a fresh grad from Malaysia, been trading demo profitably for a few months before switching to live, where things took a turn south. Currently in Beijing looking for work, but visa's a huge problem for fresh grads, along with the global economy not looking so good for us freshies. I found this forum when I realized my stops on my live acc were getting hit more often than not, before reversing back to my TP targets. It was a jolt back to reality, which prompted me to suspend trading on live, and back to the drawing board on demo. A week later and 5-6 different indis/strats later, nothing had anything solid. It was at this time I saw nb 5.0 on FF forums, and a quick search led me to Steve's forum, and the main 10.4/5 thread. And so it begins, 10 Jan 2013. I plowed through ALL the 10.4/5 material attached, downloaded the indis and did manual backtests. I was impressed. HUGELY impressed. I used to look at price action, support/resistance lines, but this changed the way charts looked to me. Thanks Bob! The following day, I was still so engrossed in backtesting and analyzing the method, I almost forgot lunch! Pleasantly enough, I received a pm from Steve, welcoming me to the site. After exchanging pms, he nudged me in the direction of 10.6, right here. Sunday was a busy day for me, hardly had any time for myself, but I did get through some of the materials on 10.6. Which brings me to Monday, where I spent half my morning reading the first 4 pages of 10.6 over and over to make sure I understood it. Somewhere around midday I dl'd the 10.6 indis, scripts and all, and started making trades. However, I've since encountered a few road humps along the way which i tried solving late into the night, which ended up exhausting myself. So here I am now, humbly seeking assistance on a few topics as below: 1. Scripts - Aside from TF1-TF4 script, no other script is working for me. I would love to get the drop buy/sell and close order script working. I'm running Empty4 (as admin) on Win7. Tools>options>experts has been set to allow dll, ext experts & live trading. My broker has a 5-digit decimal system, if that's relevant. Does any1 have any suggestions? Anything would be helpful. 2. Ranging Trends - This has been a tad confusing to me. I am unsure of which swing high/low to use sometimes, and have trouble identifying the end of a ranging trend. This is what I know, and my questions: 3. Time Frames - I studied a few frames and found that certain strong trends do not give off signals in the 4H TF, so I went to the 1H TF. It was recommended that I set positions on the closest lines (15 lwma or sweet spots). Usually the candles are closer to the 15lwma, but it never touches, hence I have pendings but no trades opened, whereas the sweet spots are where the price slows down/reverses, so triggers there have lost pips. I realized that by going into the M30 chart, we can take advantage of the more sensitive lwma to trigger trades. these trades usually go for 10-20pips profit. S'long as it covers the spread, we can maximize daily pip harvest. But that's just my 2 cents. 4. 15 LWMA - Should I set this to apply to median price, or open? Median gives more chance of entry points. 5. Trading hours - Like I mentioned before, I'm from Malaysia, currently in Beijing. If i'm not mistaken, we should be on the same timezone, Bob. So the trading hours you use are roughly 8am-10am-2pm-5pm-11pm, right? Just trying to work my trading hours along this 4h guideline. Sorry for this long post, but it would be awesome if I could get some help on these. I hope that we'll all have a great trading year ahead! Cheers! Dispell |

Oh and 1 more thing. Do I set a pending before the STO7 crosses 20/40 or 60/80, or after? |

This is my fourth week with 10.6.(6-10 Jan) I decide to take only H4 , 10.4 style entires. As starter I thing is good to stick to one setup... Managed positively close near 900 pips on GBP/AUD, GBP/JPY, EUR/AUD. Still NZD/JPY is on going. Four weeks in profit, it is promising really.... |

Hi Folks, thats a really great system! Many thanks to Bob! GBPUSD shows on H4 now a Revers-Buy Signal. But at H1 we will see soon the sell signal. how to best proceed in such situations? Thanks a lot! |
