I'm running a combo of one chart running ootb and the other chart running the unified set. GBP USD seems to have long reliable trends. EurUSD on the other hand can never make its mind up. USD CHF is good sometimes. USD CAD can be very good. the JPY ones are a little all over the place. |

... And I've been monitoring the (10, 3, 3) Stochastic indicator to see when to exit trades as advised by Phil. Basically exit at long when its near the top and running out of steam and visa versa for shorts although some currencies don't like to play by the rules as much as others! I find it incredibly hard to hold on to the trades for long enough, many times I've closed them too early to see that after a little bit of a retrace they have continued on their trend for a long time, its a battle of nerves really. |

Welcome Doc ! as you read, marylin is using your S/R study. But i have found that S/R need to be stronger and I'm currently studying S/R with market depth to identify line with strong buy/sell. Marylin is good on long trend, and need filter to avoid bad trades without filtering good ones. Main thing to know is for example €/$ trades from 2009 / 2013 give a 50% ratio bad/good trades, with bad trades cut early and good trades running long. And when I SAY LONG,it could be many weeks or months ! Easy to write not to code ! I have tried lot of option on my forextestter backtest but no complete success. Phillipe & Milanese, thank you! It is great to be here! Living on the bottom of the world to you - we sleep when you are awake and vice-versa. London opens at 1700 our time and New York at 2330. When I started at the end of 2011 I very quickly found that, with my 10-12 hour working day starting at 0800 local time and London opening at 1700 local - New York 2330 - that the D1 & H4 worked best for me and allowed me to get some sleep! . Having absolutely no knowledge of Forex or programming; and even less of back-testing. - still can't do it - after reading through all the posts I am in absolute awe of your programming ability and the knowledge of everyone associated with the development of Marilyn so far. My Ducks programme is essentially a constantly evolving seat-of-the-pants manual trading system that I have put together by trial and error using the M1 in real time. Steve's updates of the Ducks EA and the 10.2 TMAslope true as a trend verification have turbo-charged things on the D1 & H4 since late last year and enabled me to manually trade London with the H1, M30 & M15 until ±2400. this is usually pretty intense because the only Trend verification I have is - if the TMAslope true synchronizes with the other two indis within 5 candles of the entry candle she's a goer; if not I exit the trade. Over the past few months I have been looking for an automatic/semi-automatic Marilyn style programme to complement Ducks that I can also run on shorter time frames eg H1, M 30 & M15. Phillipe, I reckon that Marilyn is an absolute 'ripper'. The thing I love about her is that you all have demonstrated that she works… and works… works! I'll keep you updated as I go. Hi all, For all who are interested I just played somewhat with Marylin and made two new optional functions in the code (please check out if there are bugs) Hardcoded is my GBPUSD setup -corrected errore in calculate lots form my previous postet version (was permille non percent) -added Status check Detects whether the moving averages (21,55 TF H4) are heading in the right direction for the trade. (Optional) (this is an idea from Andy (Mr.Long)) -added AssicurateWinOnRSI If four D1 RSI are heading in our direction or RSI D1 is > 75 (<35 if short) Marylin adds an SL Win (50 pip ) if Marylin is more than 150 pips in advantage after that trailing if conditions are same (Optional) Wish you all a nice weekend Cheers, Tommaso |

Hi bubble, welcome Marylin uses a daily strategy, so patience with her trades is asked  Marylin will set a SL at a resonable R/S point and will close the trade if the trend changes. Take the time for reading the entire thread it is worth it. Cheers Tommaso |

Hi Tommaso, how many times have you to read the entire thread ? I have read it three times. The results of phil_trade are obtained with a very specif language and broker. He recognizes his results are broker and language dependant. Perhaps it is better that phil_trade makes the conversion to mql4 or provides his source code in Windev.
