Steve,

The pips calculation is correct, you need to change the word points to pips in the line of open trades.

I did a test with AdaptativePipsStopLoss = 25, there are 3 open orders, Pips Stop Loss = -750 points, at some time the basket was losing more than 75 pips and orders did not close. I think Pips Stop Loss should be -75 and not -750.

Agree that there are some errors in either the output to screen or the logic in relation to points & pips

can someone help me identify why my machine hangs up or crashes when I just place Baluda's slope indi or Shelley EA or anything on 10.2 templates. Pls help.

I have managed to fix this Empty4 issue. I have checked my comparative runs this morning to see that the only basket triggered by S yesterday at LDNopen closed for about 100 pip loss. The other three setups (S + different filters) have not triggered any trades yet. So far it means:

- the filters kept me out of losing 100 pips OR they don't work properly and they will never allow any trades to be placed :lol: (only time will tell), and
- Major drawback is that with the filters on, we probably missed a lot of good trade opportunities (which is why SJ is a massive improvement).

Anyway I will keep these running for a little while but I am now concentrating on Baluda and SJ (separately not together ;) ;) )

Hi, my 1st post here. Meanwhile there are so many NB 10.2 threads! I hope this is the right place.

When I started to experiment with Shelley's basket, it was obvious that the timing of opening the basket is crucial. I followed Jem's solutions, but to keep things simple I tested baskets with a GlobalClosure of only 50 pips. The idea was that even if the market turns against me or ranges, with a basket of >8 pairs 50 pips should be possible during a retracement. In such cases (like yesterday - Monday is always slow) the basket usually gets closed on the following day. On a good trending day (like today) GlobalClosure kicks in quickly and I open a second basket during London to make up for the bad days.

So far (3 weeks) I have not lost one basket. 50 pips per day is enough to make a very good living ... :D

Interesting approach. Do you mind me asking what max DD do you usually get and how much is your SL if you have one of course?

So far the maximum DD was around 180 pips. Like Shelley I don't use a SL, but I use BE+5 @25.

Nice work gms. I've seen plenty of Shelley baskets go into +50 pips profit so I can see why you are bagging them. Still it would scare me to open a basket with no set SL on it.

A global SL for the whole basket (but no SL for individual pairs) would defenitely make sense. In my case (depending on account size and lot size traded, of course) this limit would be 250 pips. That means that the limit would not have been hit in the last 3 weeks during my testing.

It also means that 3 shitty days in a row would mean 15 days of catching up :) You can't really aim for 50 pips take profit and 50 pips stop because we start in drawdown and the SL will get hit first. If you are winning more often than not I'd aim for 100 pip stop and 50 pip TP.
