Hello!

Thank you for what looks like a great dashboard.

But about MultiTenPointThree, maybe I am missing some parameter, but the DO values do not correspond to my Daily Open value. First I noticed that it was not the same as "10.2 DMA 1X0 10.29". Then I thought you might calculate things differently for some reason and used the new generic DWMPivots 1.0.4 and the "DMWP for 10.3" to see if that was true. But no, those give the same values as "10.2 DMA 1X0 10.29", and those values are not the same as displayed on MultiTenPointThree DO value.

(some more testing and comparisons)
Now for the fun part... I changed "Add Sunday to Monday" to false and then back to true again... and now I can't see any more errors, everything looks fine except that I sound (and feel!) like an idiot by having typed the paragraph above...

What grey means is this the weekly is above monthly, both daily open and daily pivot are above but you have a reversal situation in that the daily open is below the daily pivot. Now what I did was not take a trade position here because price may reverse or price takes a breather and maybe continue the trend. I left it gray because it is not a clear cut signal. Now if you know what is causing the reversal you can trade that but that is what gray means. DO and DP above/below WP and MP but they are in the wrong order and may signify a trend reversal or price resting. The present move has hit exhaustion and I have no rules as to what it will do next. Trading discretion is advised.

;) Such interferences are judgement calls from time to time are essential to overall success. Closing hedges in profit when you feel price action is soon going back in favor of your original position is very justified.

Do remember that MPTM will only place one hedge for the trade. If price goes back to better than -30 to the original trade, the only way to get it to hedge again is to remove and replace MPTM so that it sees the original trade for the first time; or to place the protection of a hedge manually using a pending Stop order.

Use of your best judgement is always appropriate.

DPhil,
Thank you very much for pointing me in a Direction that makes Absolute sense, my exact idea was to be able to use the present combination of 10.3 with CT trading as a combined, make money both ways type system excuse my borrowing some of your quotes, hence I am not so far off the mark, I just have to really settle down to getting my head round making the System work for me, I am learning and trying to learn the right way avoiding the pit falls of experiencing things trading the Hard way if you understand where I am coming from. ;)

Many Thanks,

xrismak :)

My goal is to only hit 2-3 trades a day with this 10.3 Ct strategy because I trade large lot sizes on my 400:1 account. I always expect to make 1% equity profit growth per pip.

It's VERY boring setting so many trades up. And so far no trades have been hit because maybe I am being too conservative as to where I have set these outer level pending orders, OR the market just happens to be very flat at the moment.

I wish there was a script or something that could make this process less time consuming, and also more accurate because sometimes I mis-read the price level I am to set the entry price. Ho hum.

Check this out Phil, I dont know how helpfull it is to your strategy. Pleasea do help us learn.

Well most of the trades are now in a grey area - I guess we have to wait for some directions and in the meantime: Relax ;)

The way I read this method is it works fine when the markets are trending each day bullish or bearish making new lows or highs each day but as soon as you get a change in trend or range play whipsawing this will smash your account to pieces.

So true... I made 1500+pips in the 2-3weeks I used it on demo with a very good win/lose ratio. Thought hey I'm good for real.. 11SL's in a row... smashed to pieces.

I think this is silly. I have experienced more winning trades than losing trades every week, including the ones with the jump EA quickly closing the gap on my losses. This has lead to having my wins average always larger than my loss averages. Then I have more winners than losers. Yes I have days in which I have more losers than winners but staying within the system it works.

Second this was designed to work in ranging markets because trending markets have been very hard to come by the last couple of months so I dont know where you got the trending idea from. I had a field day today taking the JPY crosses and following them as they have retraced across the board. Yes they were grey boxes discretionary trades but ended up nice trades. I scored on the eur/jpy, nzd/jpy, and aud/jpy. 10.3 all by itself has worked very nicely for me. Each one score 25-50 pips, so 5-1 for the day and up 117 pips.
