2. Ranging Trends - This has been a tad confusing to me. I am unsure of which swing high/low to use sometimes, and have trouble identifying the end of a ranging trend.
This is what I know, and my questions:

1. When a UT/DT hits a 60MA, it signals the end of the UT/DT. I draw lines at the last swing high & low.
2. If a candle closes outside the range, the ranging trend ends.
3. Sometimes a candle closes on the opposite side of the 240 MA (DT-Range-UT or vice versa), but does not break out of range lines. Is this considered the end of the ranging market (a new UT/DT) or still a ranging market?

It is just a fake out. Happens.
4. Sometimes the last swing high/low (either 1) will be outside where the chart hits the 60MA, how do I choose the swing highs/lows? Rough sketch added below.

The last highest price and the last lowest price. Dont know how else to explain it.

A is the swing high, as for low, do I use B or C?

Cant use anything that is past the 60 MA touch because it doesnt exist at the time the touch is made.

3. Time Frames - I studied a few frames and found that certain strong trends do not give off signals in the 4H TF, so I went to the 1H TF. It was recommended that I set positions on the closest lines (15 lwma or sweet spots). Usually the candles are closer to the 15lwma, but it never touches, hence I have pendings but no trades opened, whereas the sweet spots are where the price slows down/reverses, so triggers there have lost pips. I realized that by going into the M30 chart, we can take advantage of the more sensitive lwma to trigger trades. these trades usually go for 10-20pips profit. S'long as it covers the spread, we can maximize daily pip harvest. But that's just my 2 cents.

I am a 4H trader and rarely use the 1H. I only use it in some range trades.

4. 15 LWMA - Should I set this to apply to median price, or open? Median gives more chance of entry points.

the difference between the 15 open and 15 median is so small it is not worth worrying about.

5. Trading hours - Like I mentioned before, I'm from Malaysia, currently in Beijing. If i'm not mistaken, we should be on the same timezone, Bob. So the trading hours you use are roughly 8am-10am-2pm-5pm-11pm, right? Just trying to work my trading hours along this 4h guideline.

Make your trading decisions before each market open. JPY, EUR,USA and take profits 2-4 hours into the session. However, price can move during the nzd/aud, and later jpy sessions especially when they have the afternoon bond sales but that is a normal trading day. I will/can take trades at any time though.

Sorry for this long post, but it would be awesome if I could get some help on these. I hope that we'll all have a great trading year ahead!

hmm. I think it might have something to do with my broker, as far as scripts go.
Thanks for the clarification, just had to iron those out.
Oh and btw, forgot to clarify the pic attachment. Entry into 60MA was after the A & B spike, signaling the end of the uptrend back into 60-240range.
