On the pictures in Dewey McG post the trade is entered as a Range trade.
Somehow later on it changed to a Trend trade.
(I keep out of repaint discussion)

Let's assume that we could do the same with the trade...
Change the range trade that we have open, and manage it further on as a Trend trade.
(Other Exit strategy, Higher TP and send the multiple pendings when this happens)
Would something like that even be possible? :roll:

I notice that in HGI_v15.08 the Hurst filter is enabled by default.

For the EA I am writing to trade HGI, I do not want the Hurst filter to be applied.

I am also running an EA to capture HGI signals to build a DB of them for back testing purposes, and for that I also do not want the Hurst filter to be operating. (Before anybody jumps down my throat about backtesting HGI, please note that my planned backtesting using HGI will not be done using the Empty4 strategy tester but my own simulator of the Empty4 platform that I have written specifically to allow proper back testing. To test an EA that uses HGI I need a DB of HGI signals, thus the HGI signal capture EA.)

Please advise if calling HGI_v15.08 or later via iCustom() with isiCustom set to true turns off the Hurst filter, or will it be necessary to include the 6 inputs up to useHurstFilter in the iCustom() call to be able to set useHurstFilter to false?

This might be a newbie question, but I'm still learning to code in MQL4 and was wondering, is it possible to code the HGI indicator into Steve's Shell EA code in order to create a simple EA that basically buys on the big green arrows and sells on the big red arrows only, but then using other parts of the Shell EA and MPTM to manage the trades? I was wondering this because the HGI indicator is only available as an ex4 and not mq4?

I'm guessing I wasn't the first to think of turning this into an EA, so perhaps this question has already been answered but I skimmed through the thread trying to find anything about an EA and didn't see anything.
