I test on EA with TMA_CG(21) and BB(21). Two bands got similar result.

what is threshold of Slope 0.4? 0.5? 0.8? for a strong trend ?

The large/small/rad arrows come from a proven counter trend system. They were used by me for many years from my 4.0 and 5.0 systems at FF if you wish to check it out. It was adapted to work with trend trading. The TMA slope indi has been around for years and was used with the 10.2 system on up. Later it was adapted into the CSS read of the market system which I still use today. The TMA has been around for years and was used successfully by Alorente at FF. You can read about it at the Extreme TMA thread at FF. The 100 lines is something I have been using since 10.6 and there is a thread at FF that trades 100 lines exclusively. You can go there to read how to use them.

I am saying this: every single part of HGI has been tested and proven itself over many years of trading. They have been used individually in many different kinds of systems and traded successfully. What HGI does is give you the reads or analyzes the market for you in one indi rather than reading several and trying to come to a conclusion of when and how to trade the market. This indi already does for you. It already analyzes the market for you and then tells you what to expect. Its weakness is it cant analyze the unknown but no indi can. It does more than just an ordinary indi where it gives you the past and you hope the past continues into the future. It actually analyzes the market and tells you, unless there is a change in market conditions, this is what the market is going to do next. It not only gives you and A crossed B so do C, it also tells you the strength of the market is strong enough to D or E or the strength of the market is not strong enough to do D or E so just do F.

Backtesting can only show what happened at the end of the candle. It cannot show what is happening during a candle. That is what this indi does. It is telling you--right now the market is doing this and barring any surprises it will continue to do the this next thing. Elixe in his brilliance brought this all together in a magical AHA moment. Enjoy it and appreciate its basic simplicity amongst a very complex market. Some of you guys/gals are going to analyze this thing to death and end up missing its simplicity in a very complex world.

Bob, wise words of wisdom as always and it got me thinking about a book that maybe some should read called - Acres of Diamonds, a number of short stories about people who spent their life looking for their dream and never realised it was right under their noses / feet all along..

If anyone has some spare time over the rest of the festive period I suggest reading it, as it helped change my life by learning to trust your gut instinct and the people you attract into your life who usually are there you help you achieve your dreams...

Never mind because that is not the point of this post. Yours has prompted me to open a thread that I have been meaning to open for some time - why backtesting in Empty4 is a waste of time.
