Tried to take a look at the code of this massive EA. I really don't know how someone could debug this massive and gigantic code, (around 6200 lines) and more than 70-80 parameters to set. I could feel my head spinning, trying to dive in. Surely it could help strongly to use and include libraries in this code, otherwise it would become hardly manageable |

Yes it is a challenge In Version 3 I heavily reduced the lines of code.. Before making it larger again, Well, I'm pretty much getting used to it.. Still using notepad ++ (Have Scite installed, but to lazy to use it for HGB, currently only using scite for coding some nuggets which will end up in HGB) Well, for the double thingy..look somewere around.. CanweTrade functions and the Counting One of the functions I modified in V3. From coding point of view, library would be benificial.. But can cause harm, for the dimwits, who don't copy all the files.. Or have version issues.. Well, thats main reason I'm going forward with putting all in one file.. But in V3, the bits and pieces are in the same area, so it would be not so difficult to split it into multiple libraries, if we want to do so.. |

version is no problem with the HGI lib I coded you can take a look to: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 10#p102010 how to call it , so far it looks that most users where able to palce the inlude and the lib datei just in the right place, the lib makes the EA much, much faster and there will no problem with different indicator versions ecc.. Pretty quite in here today. Oddly Rad trades are causing the majority of my DD today currently floating -690 pips as opposed to Rad mutli floating DD -153. Stacking Rad multi and Trend are the big winners for the week so far. |

Yes, I had a look over there, quite impressive. Only with Library based I ment the seperation of the EA in multiple .mqh include files. Could be easier for coding, bug tracking, adding functionality Thingy is, the version of all files and protocols should be the same, otherwise strange things could happen. Found an old discussion about this somewhere in the coding section. What I've ment, is with the usage of Scite, It becomes much easier navigating trough the code. Well put it on the list for version 3. @ Milanese, What are the development plans for the HGI? Saw a H1 version.. which has gracefully recieved.. (and found quite accurate although its interpolating the wavys) So I've implemented in V3 the possibility to use a different HGI for lower TF. I am very gratefull to be part here on this forum, And recieve some very very usefull feedback and ideas through PM's. Did'nt respond to you all.. Will do later.. |

Evaluating some of the multi trades that are entering and getting trapped just before a swing develops near the round number. Example entering at 1.8280 target 1.8310 and a swing develops at 1.83 followed by a sizable retrace. I don't think there is anything in the current settings that could handle preventing these trades from entering, or profiting out near the round number. I'm not asking that anything be coded, just an observation and consideration with trade placement going forward. |
