It runs decent on my box. (win 7, i5, 8GB) Cowboy IBFX US., and Oanda. GUI is a little buggy, but with a few TF shifts eventually comes out looking right. I get small cpu spikes 3-17%. Looks like I screwed up and didn't change dll, though I might have latest version from YAD. Will check.

Config is likely different than most. I intend to close manually, so no protection and exits gutted. I'm guessing that is cutting some cycles as well. I'd be limiting pair lists for DIV0 errors.

trendDirect modified to ignore AO, as Bob and most do on 10.4 manual thread. Code is per the book, but not how it gets traded. RSI2 is the setup. useBothForPullback RSI+ AO ><0 is strong but culls many good trades. The AO > 0 || AO < 0 OR logic when not using UseBothOnPullBack is super loose and not Bob's intent, imho. He has never taken a trade with AO above or below zero as sole criterion, and has pretty much abandoned AO. As coded the AO > 0 || AO < 0 gets triggered no matter what if this switch is off. Every pair gets a trade where AO is opposite 240. Not sure that is +EV. But with baskets and trailing maybe? It is essentially random with trend entries at the pivot where you turn on. This will add a LOT of variability to results.

Sure wish the gui was more robust. It is close, but the dll seems to have a ways to go still. Hopefully they are working on it. Both this and YAD have really got the gears turning in my head for trade management systems.

Tremendous progress, effort, and talent. Hats off to all involved. It blows my mind how you guys find time to support these things. Truly brilliant.

Same on my test machine - even after slipshod's modifications. Mostly 100% single core consumption. Empty4 keeps crashing every 5 to 10 minutes. Haven't analyzed possible reasons yet.

Jürgen, have you tried with showDisplay set to false (with my modifications from the page 88)? For me that cut the CPU usage right down. With showDisplay=false using the current 2.01a there's still high CPU, and the only difference is that all the buttons are still created and guiIsClicked() called constantly in the start function.

My guess is that the processing is being caused by having so many buttons and continually checking them.

Did you try to switch the TF to 4H? Not 30min as Andy suggested.
I had the error 133 message constantly on my Empty4 setup on ICMarkets until I changed the TF to 4H and after that all settled and running as it should.

Hi Mike, there was quite a bit of discussion regarding AO back on page 62, but maybe Andy didn't find time to review it properly which would be perfectly understandable. In the meantime I'm running with my own AO-related modifications as well.

Thanks slipshod, missed your post back there. You did a prettier job on the fix than I did. Half a dozen strokes of the delete key and I was out of there ;).

I follow the 10.4 thread very closely. But don't pretend for a second that the logic should be changed if people love it as is. The literal interpretation of that page posted by Andy was enough for me to just mod my version and move on.

Everything seems to be working fine on my Alpari demo.

I can certainly confirm that the 'shirt protection' function is working - I know this because I set DD at 10%, the EA took lots of sells against the JPY which promptly rocketed causing over 10% DD.

Not great results obviously, but at least we know that function is working. It is only a demo after all.

Thanks MrLong and Simplex for sharing this nice EA. It is working fine on my old core 2 laptop with Oanda.

I am a bit confused though about the meaning of the switches. Is there any explanation written somewhere on this thread? It enters trades even when the RSI is not above 80% or below 20%. Or am I missing something?

I must confess that I did not read the whole thread, there are too many pages now. I understand that the coders are too busy. But if any other member who followed the thread from the beginning could write up a cheat sheath about the exact rules that the EA follows and functions of the settings that would be very much appreciated by the newcomers. I know the NB rules, but it seems to me that the EA does not follow them exactly.

How the hell it is possible. I'm runing mine since Monday evening GMT and no big gains but no loses (started 5000 usd, now all 4 demos are around 5080 usd).
