It is most likely because Mptm is trying to set your jumpstop and your trade is too close to market price. It should sort itself out if price moves beyond these parameters..
(By the way, do you run to MT on the same acc., with both the set files you have shared?)
Yes I run both ea's with their own setfiles on the same account and both have different magic numbers..

Also take note that I am very interested in Mathias's "Maddy Css Hgi dashboard and more Ea"..Now that I have sorted out little teething problems on my side I will use his dashboard to set extra parameters for entry conditions with Mad trader..

I will post the links here whenever I find a good combination..

Hi Bazze ,

I also have the 130 error and it never went away for me so I stopped testing for now. Do you still have the error?If not what settings did you change in MPTM?

Hi Guys,

Just thought I would try and strike a balance between contrarian trading vs trend trading. Well it seems it has worked for me since yesterday. Whilst the hype is up with POS I am confidently looking at this as a counter aid for trades going against me when the trend continues . POS up trend down and vice versa. :good:

My template: As long as you have MADTrader v.1.1 in your experts folder and Maddy v1.8 in your indicator folder, you should have the Dash with The Ea: Quick pips in and out.

Just like to say thanks for posting updates on your work on Maddy and MadTrader. You're recent 5 min and 1 hour setfiles are great pieces of work using Maddy's potential to harvest pips.

There doesn't seem to be too many posts on here recently and I want to keep the thread alive also. I'm set up on the 5 min ma stacking and keeping the EA running from 7am UK time until about 4/5pm UK time, this seems to be a good time and catches the first few hours of US open when price moves again after the pre US open retracement.

Indeed very nice to read. I must admit that I have diverted from these tests, especially with all the new toys being introduced, and there are many that have come to the fore of late. My concern is that I am starting to lose focus on the things I know, and Maddy is one of them. Nevertheless I can only speak from a position of strength if I know something is working for me and at the moment I feel like a drifter. ;)

Anyway, it will take a bit of time to get my thoughts together again and hopefully I can speak on the same page. I must also say, that from my recollections I did go through a fairly bad patch with Maddy, but this does not mean failure. A bad patch just means more testing and following through dilligently and not giving up on testing. The true success of a strategy will only be revealed after some months of testing with hard yards covered.

Nevertheless, encouraging to see you testing this and I hope more folks can come back with feedback and keep the thread alive. Maddy is good, especially in trending markets. And Nice to see you following the sessions as I would.

Hope to jump in again at some point

Yes, MADDY works great in trending markets, but I find it also has enough to get past the ranging of a 'normal' day by cutting losers early. That said, on days/periods when the entire market and all/most crosses are ranging it does struggle.

I think key for this is staying away from trading before big news events and maybe also end of the month.

Has anyone set MADDY up to trade for LO and USOpen and close trades at 1-1.5% account increase no more than a few hours after each open?
