That's easy. Put the attached wav file in your <broker-name>\sounds directory (you'll have to unzip it first, the board doesn't allow wav files). The attached script will test it out. :>

Hi! Thanks for dropping by. :D

The short answer to your question is ...no! The template was designed to be used on all TFs. All you will need to do is change the TP & SL accordingly.

Please understand that George is still working on the indicators... when he gets time amongst all his normal work... and Steve is still working on the engine... when he gets time amongst all his normal work. So; until you see it posted on the Forum main pages, with Steve's usual cautions and warnings, Ducks is still a works in progress!

New Member & first post. Many thanks for the 'Ducks' Aussiedoc. Really appreciate it. Like you I'm no longer young, and also like you....I can now get some SLEEP!
Bearing in mind the above....have I missed the version of 'Ducks' with an alert....mine has none. Please. please tell me I have missed it, & where to find it!

Hi! My apologies for not getting back to you with an answer for so long. Unfortunately my practice has been keeping me flat-chat. :cry:

My original system was made up of a lot of indicators ( which Steve hates - and since joining his Forum I can understand why) because I was new to Forex and didn't know any better. :lol:

I now trade a modified version.

Simple system:-
3 MAs - 3, 8 & 50 smoothed MA.
The Crossover Signal indi to give me a heads-up on a possible entry - via both an on-screen and an auditory alert .
SMMA Crossover Signal.mq4
The Signals Indicator Indi (modified to a fast 3 & slow 8) to check the trend.
#Signal_Bars_v8D.ex4
George's Ducks.mq4 indi (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 9227#p9227) on a modified Ducks template coupled with a 45/55 RSI indi to give me entry criteria.
MOD DUCKS.tpl
When the MAs cross after a pivot up or down - enter the trade on the first candle that opens above/below the Green 3MA. Set the SL at the previous H/L pivot. When the trade is the Entry - SL into profit - set the BE at Entry + spread. Exit the trade when the 3 & 8 MA cross in the opposite direction.

This is what you should be looking at.

Yep, I still trade the D1 and H4 with Ducks most every day.
Like everything I do it has evolved over time to include new ideas and techniques that have been discussed on these pages... thanks to Steve and everyone's generousity.
Instead of the RSI superimposed upon the Duck 3 + the Duck 4 indi I now use ZZNBRM's version of the 10.2 TMA Slope True.

might i ask what is entry criteria derived from the TMA slope true? green(buy only) red(short only)?
and the RSI is removed - so what do u use to filter out chop?

Thanks for the enquiry.

Entry is the first candle to open >< (Green) 3MA after the MA cross; where the TMA Slope True bar is ><0.4 (Green = long/Red = short)

The reason I stick to the H4 & D1 is because they take out most of the chop... And, after a bit of experimentation, I found that, with (+/- 0.4) TMA Slope True "Input" values and (+/- 0.4/0.8) levels, that it pretty much took care of the rest.

I have been reading your posts on this thread and I've been looking for that TMA Slope indicator. It seems as though there are several. The one I have on my charts is just a bit different from yours. Could I trouble you to post the one you are using, please?
