Post subject:  11.0 trading sessions
traded Tokyo open session today. 8wins out of 14 trades taken. Simple 10pips take profit and 20 pip SL. No brainer.

Could have more winners had I close the non moving trades manually before they move against me in the euro start.

Feel this is a very good system overall. Looking forward to next wednesday & thursday!

i'm using jems strategy, and using limit orders to get in at a better price, the problem is if the price keeps moving, against you , only using a ten pip stop will get stopped happened this morning on gbpusd, sell trade, i was 2 pips away from target of 20 pips then it reversed, so went in again, anyway will see

Actually I recommend you do that, close the non-moving trades and remove the pendings that werent taken. This is a session by session system and the signals change with each session. It is also the open get the original move and were done. We play the open candle and we are directed by the previous bar of the session. Once that move has happened or not happened then that previous bar gets buried by history. It is not longer valid as an indicator of direction once the session gets going. Price either followed it or it doesnt. Close up and move on. That is what this system is. Hit the open and if you dont have a good move in the first 2 hours move on.

I bet you could play this system by the hour and it probably would work The 15 minute bar before the top of the hour gives a sense of direction for the next hour. If price reverses at the top of the hour you are not in. If price continues the next hour in the same direction you can pick up the pips. Quite simple really. So if the bar is green for the previous 15 minutes the chances are it will continue and you are back in after 10 pips or price reverses at the top of the hour and you are not. Probably you get more winning trades than losers that way. It would be easy to test in seeing how many hour candles would continue the same direction as the last 15 minutes of the previous hour. If it does you are in and move with the candle. The second thing to look for is if price did not go in the same direction. How many went 10 pips and entered and you ended with a losing trade. The third thing is how many reversed but did not go 10 pips so you are not in. I would think you could build a whole strategy around this hour by hour.

You could get the info of how many pips does a currency average for every hour of the day. Choose to trade the times that currency chooses to move on a regular basis. Set up the indi to give you the info every hour and bingo. You go trade. Take your 10 and go run again in an hour. Shoot--I am sure such a thing is possible.

Hey Bob, only saw the portion on closing the trade by the session if it doesn't move. At least my stupidity didn't cost me a dime since i was demo-ing this.

i don't want to destroy this brilliant system that you have miraculously come up so for now, nothing fanciful - just gonna trade by the very rules you set.

an indicator for this system to automatically set 10pips TP and 20pips SL would be great..... now there isn't happen to be any lying around in this forum is it...? :smile:

Steve has his EA he is working on. I think they are still working on some bugs but at some point there will be a working EA or script. I just use the pending scripts, drag them on the screen and let them fly. Probably in my final edition I will have those. Elixe is working on the indi to add a couple of functions. Dont worry there will be all sorts of add on goodies after a while. Too many programmers in this forum. :P

I am new to this forum and new to forex in general - only demo trading for about the last 6 months. Bob, looks like you have a simple system that would be good for a newbie like me. But can someone direct me where to download everything? I see there have been updates and additions but not sure where to get the entire system.

Welcome to forex,Hopwood forum and NB system. You are very lucky to have found Bob`s system at such an early stage of your forex journey. I urge you to read 10.2 then 10.6, 10.7 and 10.9 before starting to trade. Mind you 11.0 is a complete and stand alone system but if you invest some time and read the earlier versions and practice them in demo you will be on track to becoming a successful trader and hopefully avoid the mistakes and blown accounts which we had as new traders. BEST OF LUCK.
