Thanks Steve, Much appreciated.

So it did it again and this time I did in fact see the clock stop on one of the charts but it was running on the other charts. (laggy but running). So I shut down the Empty4 and restarted it. Everything was fine now so it got me thinking. What could be causing this behaviour. I had changed the HgiReadDelay to 30 seconds thinking I could catch the signal 30 seconds earlier :roll: trying to be greedy. I changed it back to 60 seconds now and it seems to be much more stable...

Hi Cyber,

The more indicators and crap you run on the charts, the slower they are. At least in my observation. Remove anything that is not needed and it might help. Also, how many pairs you run at a time makes a bit of a difference as well.

I'm running 2 tests, 4H & 30M. I'm having the same problem as cyberevil running on 8x 30M charts. Its doing a great job of getting into positions but the clock is freezing. I'm using 60 second HgiReadDelay and the only indi I am running is HGI. I am also noticing on my 4H test the clock is still ticking but there are some EUR/USD positions that have not been closed after an opposite blue wave while CloseOnOppositeSignal is set to TRUE. I'm running on a VPS, maybe this has something to do with it?

I'm not having this problem at all. Although, my VPS is a dedicated beefy machine. Perhaps try upgrading.

I'm in same scenario on EU - chart froze around blue wave time and still in positions (demo). Only 8 majors on 4 hour. Other charts did not freeze at same time, just the EU. Just entered JPYUSD trades a few minutes ago.

HGI is quite resource hungry, so perhaps leave it off your charts if you are running a machine that is low on resources and only run on a few pairs. I was running it on a machine with pathetic resources and found this the only way to stop instances of the bot freezing.

Courtesy of all of you who have paid me to code various thingies and some exceptional donations, I am writing this from a brand-spanking new desktop that I set up today. Huge screen for my myopic old eyes and everything. Only 8 Gig ram because the 16 gig that I really wanted would have doubled the price. Hey ho. Fact is, your commission fees have been reinvested here, so thanks on all our behalves. :clap:

Hehe. No joking folks. Those of you over a certain age really want to try a 24 inch screen. Bliss. :lol:

I am going to set up a number of demos over the weekend in time for Monday and will let you all know if all you need to do to avoid problems is sell a grandchild to buy a new machine.

Steve,
During setup and preliminary testing of HGBnG 1-j I was setting up multiple pairs (and also a profile for the setup).
I use profiles extensively and always have MT Options set to disable AutoTrading when switching profiles.
i.e. when loading a profile I like to be able to make setting changes before letting things loose by using the AutoTrading button.
My EAs are coded to look for AutoTrading and do whatever they are supposed to do when Terminal and/or an individual EA trading is not enabled.

For convenience I made the below simple change to OnTick() in HGBnG that will check the Terminal AutoTrading status as well as the EA trading status before allowing further processing in OnTick().

Use at your discretion of course.
