Anyway, it is still too early to make any kind of conclusions... I will not put a penny on such kind of strategy, but following Steve enthusiasm, I gave it a try. If it is still performing I will have to study in detail the logic to get confident...
Do not imply that you have some sort of special understanding of what is going on here until you are able to prove it.

Do not use my name in this way again. My next response to you will be a tad on the blunter side in expressing my displeasure.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Bruster and I have removed some lamentable posts here today. Thanks to those of you who misguidedly responded to idiotic questions. My removal of your kind reply implies no criticism of you.

For those of you posting questions or suggestions for 'improvements', the situation is different. Assume that B and I think you are a moron if your questions/'improvement' have disappeared. Your cards are marked and your best interests are served by staying quiet. I remind you that the right to post freely at SHF is one earned by those who initially post usefully and intelligently. Dimwits find their registrations deleted quickly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I am trading RnR on my live trading account, but only on GJ at a lot size a fraction of the lot size I am trading HGBnG.

The demo I opened trading 0.01 per dollop of cash where each dollop = $1,000 blew up quite quickly. The demo where each dollop = $2,000 is thriving happily.

So, dimwits trying hard to trade this on every pair that moves, I hope you are taking notice. Sadly, most of you are too stupid to read my posts and so will miss the point. I suppose I am really writing this for those of you who do take occasional notice of my postings.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Moving on to the live account I have funded for my much-loved Former Victim. You would not believe the circus I went through to get this money into the account. I got FV to open a USD account because that is how I have always traded and so think in USD more easily these days than I do in GBP.

Seeing that I was transferring funds to an Upside Down Land account, by bank gave me the option of transferring AUD or GBP. I chose AUD because I could specify the exact minimum deposit.

That took a week mind. You would not believe the amount of info the bank required that was not immediately obvious from the account opening confirmation sent to FV.

The money went off.

And disappeared.

FV received confirmation of his live account number etc, but still no funds in the account.

It turned out eventually that this was because the account is a USD account and I had transferred AUD.

Jem sorted this out eventually and converted the AUD to USD - a princely sum of US $381. After about 10 days of trying.

And you guys wonder why I am a tad on the pissy side from time to time?

Never mind. The point of all this is that the account is now funded to about 20% of what I consider is a reasonably safe level of funding. This is: 0.01 lots per $2,000 of balance trading one pair.

So, FV's account is about as overtraded as it is possible to be. I am going to leave it to run because I can afford to fund it properly when it blows up. If somehow it manages to survive and eventually thrive, then you guys can all take encouragement from it.

Once decent run against the bot will wipe the account. For now, it is up 170 pips and $7.64. I will keep you in touch.

Today we celebrated the birthday of our king, so not much charttime for me..... :!!:
I changed pipdistance to 20 in order to reduce DD.
It's interesting you've gone to 20 and I've gone to 2 .. it will be good to compare drawdown at the end of this week mate... and Happy Birthday King :)

Yep it is interesting.
I went to 20 to skip the noice that closed most of the buys yesterday, that would have brought home the bacon.
Instead, it brought DD in the form of more and more sells in an uptrend.
We were lucky the retrace was big enough to close out the lot. :yahoo:

Let's compare results on friday, looking forward!

EDIT; it took me half an hour to write and re-EDIT this post. Off to bed....

I've also been running a new demo (latest version) with a 2 pip pipdistance all other settings OOTB, from around 9:00am UK time this morning.

Account is £10,000 trading only GBPJPY, 0.1 lots - made good progress today, currently £241.05 banked, drawdown is currently -£103.81. It did get as bad as -£949.09 earlier, but that is only halfway to the 20% partial stop loss.

It will be interesting to see whether a smaller/larger pipdistance is more beneficial. It seems that a smaller pipdistance is able to recover easier as it doesn't take much of a retrace to close the losing trades - obviously the other side of that coin is that you can get into trouble quicker due to the sheer amount of trades.

I'll keep you posted. Also thanks to Steve, Bruster and all others who contributed to this EA, great work.

Yep, got busted by that one on another infamous EA here on SHF. Still trying to figure out what happened, couldn't find any Japanese news or emergency related. Maybe China?
